Not much more to add, great video.
Some things taste better from soil if you like earthy tasting veg, other things taste better from hydro/aquaponics systems.
Leafy greens, tomatoes water is the way to go.
Peppers, cucumbers, squash, some melons: soil has its place.
If it doesn’t taste right, you probably didn’t grow it right!
That fish’n’chips looks spectacular
I want to do it because of the fish, too. But mostly for quality food during our cold winters.
It’s still “aquaponics” if you use your aquarium fish water to water plants. Keeping both systems separate IMO far less chance for failure. Less electrical parts needed, easier build……and more verity of fish can be grown because you’re not limited to only fish that can handle stressful water. Just saying soil is KING 👍
