How I’m Preserving My Eucalyptus for YEARS! 🌿💕 A Little Secret from Katy
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Homegrown Passion”.
Come spend a little time with me today! 💕
I grew some beautiful eucalyptus from seed this year, and it turned out even prettier than I imagined! I originally planned to use it in my cut flower arrangements, but I ran out of room in my garden beds, so I planted it in pots around the patio instead.
Now, with our first frost approaching, I don't want all that beautiful greenery to go to waste!
So today I'm showing you a simple, old-fashioned way to preserve eucalyptus using glycerin. With a little patience and a few basic ingredients, these gorgeous branches can stay beautiful for years!
🌿 Here's what I'm using:
1 part vegetable glycerin
2 parts warm water
Freshly cut eucalyptus branches
A vase and a little patience!
I'll show you how I cut and prepare the stems, mix the solution, and arrange everything so I can enjoy my eucalyptus long after the growing season ends.
Sometimes it's the little things around the farm that bring me the most joy. And I love getting to share them with you! ❤️

My goodness 😍
I can smell it from here..I’ve been wondering if it can be grown it home..where did you get the seeds??
I love Eucalyptus. The drive up Portola Rd to Highway 84 all through there are the absolute largest Eucalyptus trees I’ve ever been around. And the Smell… OMG Literally the size of small houses at the ground. Turning into giant redwoods and Sequoia trees up to Skyline Blvd and down to Pescadero and up or down the along the coastal hwy 1 in the cool Salty Sea Breeze…
THAT Eucalyptus sure clears your sinuses for the ride up 84 and out of the Silicon Valley smog…
