    Nice work hoocho!

  • @Camboprime says:

Cool, but wouldn’t algae be an issue in the cloth?

  • @sidneygrant1424 says:

I get your idea but that fabric is kind of the definition on a wire..

    • @Hoocho says:

I have the same problem with wireless charging.
I’ll take their artistic licence. 🤣😂

  • @MikeP.-zb4gr says:

Cool. Part of that fabric will be in the sun. So algae in that location. No problem there. But if running nutes, water will evaporate from it. Will it get crunchy and eventually stop wicking, or will the continuous flow of nutrient thru it keep the material from ever “plugging up”.

  • @VJ_Alt says:

    Awesome!

  • @AbindieHecke says:

I’d suggest printing in PC/PBT (for long time stability)

  • @andreasblahous3602 says:

Perfect timing. I was just about to buy some fabric this weekend. I’ll wait until I see your stock first. I bought one hundred on the old faithful float valves, so I hope you won’t give tive up on them yet!

  • @anitrawalker7763 says:

I have been using those floats for years. They clog up a lot.

  • @Hoocho says:

For those saying it’s not wireless…
I didn’t use a single wire in the creation of this system.

Also i dont take myself that seriously. It just resembles a wireless charging pad…

    Back to business.

  • @RobsAquaponics says:

Nice one Mitch. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Sounds like you’re getting a decent bit of rain down your way as well.
    Cheers mate.

    • @Hoocho says:

So much rain, the dams are both now full. Frogs are happy, grass is growing! How are you going up there? Much rain?

    • @RobsAquaponics says:

@HoochoFlooded in with just under 2m of water over our floodway. 😅 All the dams and tanks are full which is nice.

    • @Hoocho says:

@RobsAquaponics 😮 thats wild hahah… I’ll take it though, much rather the mud squelch than the crunch of grass.

  • @DiscombobulatedSenpai says:

I’ve seen people use olla pots, float valves, and irrigation tubes to accomplish identical results. It’s certainly a useful idea. I’d advise against your naming convention, however. To call it wireless insinuates that electricity is somehow involved. Plus it’s just not accurate in general. Wireless means operating or communicating without physical wires or cables, yet you have physical wicking material connecting the 2 mediums, as well as the physical irrigation piping.

You could instead promote it as some form of *_”automated moisture wicking.”_* That way it’s not misleading for people who would use similar systems, yet choose to have electric pumps involved rather than gravity fed lines. Your setup is a wonderfully functional idea though!

    • @Hoocho says:

I’m just having fun here. I’ve never used a wire to water a plant. All watering is wireless.

    • @DiscombobulatedSenpai says:

@Hoocho No worries. It’s just misleading, and poor marketting to call it wireless if the wireless part is already inferred. For comparison, I wouldn’t market a modern vehicle as “Nuclear Fusion Free!” as most (if not all) automobiles run on nuclear free combustion engines. It comes off as insincere, suspicious marketing to include adjectives that aren’t relevant to the product’s intended function.

    • @Hoocho says:

@DiscombobulatedSenpaiI understand the sentiment. But it’s just a metaphor, it looks like a wireless charging pad.
      So I went with it.
I think the idea is useful.
And if it gets people to pay attention to the idea.
      My job is done.

  • @barcaisbest10 says:

    🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  • @kglwrisque says:

Brother you had me at 16:05

  • @wizzzard_ponics says:

mate, really,, wicking with pots is all i do, that will go green so quickly…

  • @DDV_Fshing says:

    Autopots exist btw

  • @ihorkuznetsov8338 says:

Since you are using a single pipe to all of these pods, you actually don’t need a float valve in each of them. Just make two little pipes in the lowest position of the pod on different sides and connect them through it in a serial. It will still share the same water level. But only if all of the pods are on the same height =)

  • @Test-Call says:

If you could design a duct to pass the wicking cloth thru. So less water loss thru evaporation and less algae formation on the cloth. Just saying. Being from Aruba, can’t wait to get them on Hydroland USA.

  • @AlessandroCapobianco says:

good job as always. this time i don’t like the idea, in any case you are the best.

  • @IAmKyleBrown says:

cool way to connect it all.

if you use fabric or wicking rope in a tube. you can keep sun off and prevent any accidental drips along the path.
