As a Hunger Games fan I just connected that Katniss and her Dad are both named after roots. Burdock being the root you just taught me about and Katniss being a nickname given to the Swamp Potato plant by the Covey. You learn something new everyday! Thanks!
Thinking on this more, her mom’s name is Asterid and her sister is Primrose. Her mom’s family were Apothecary owners who used plants as medicine. So interesting! Suzanne Collins what an author you are!
We’ve got some invasive burdock in my yard I unfortunately cannot get rid of, even trying to dig it up it keeps coming back
