The water is already reseeding & hope to be able to leave (if the roads & bridge hold up OK) by Tuesday or Wednesday. 🤞

not sure where you are now but im in bundamba (ipswich) i got about 100 mills in 24 hours
A couple of days after T.C. Alfred we got 400mm in one day down here in Alex Hills.
We were lucky the cyclone wasn’t as bad as expected, but our neighbours, about ten doors up, had a tree come down in their backyard that went through the middle of their house and demolished it. No-one was hurt, fortunately, but they were very close to finishing renovations on the house.
It seems like whatever the government does some people just aren’t satisfied. The QLD liberal gov’t I thought did a comprehensive job of preparing for what could have been a more severe cyclonic weather event. Just because it didn’t eventuate you have the armchair critics saying what a waste of money. Regarding this recent rain event, I heard Albanese labour government saying they will do whatever is needed including enlisting the ADF to assist. It doesn’t look like your doing too bad really. If you know that the system isn’t working post a link instead of generalisations.
Methane is a colorless odorless gas.
Smelling it is not going to rule out or in the presence of methane.

Hi Rob, if the tilapia make it to the sea will they survive ? what is thair southern limit ? ( i remember asking the same thing about fire ants. )
Looks like you have had a few drops of water up that way. We are getting it now on the south coast of NSW but nowhere near what you have had…
Take care Eastern amphibious and aquatic critters…may need a dingy to do a grocery run…😅…or some flippers…best wishes from the West…which is hot n bone dry…

0:40 Hey wow, water views! Saw Childers area got more rain 7pm Saturday – hopefully not too much! Saw on Facebook someone amusingly said a glamping park on the Bruce highway became a pop up lake due to the flooding!
