Happy Hydroponicing!
Thanks you for this video. I’m allergic to bees, but i want colonys near my home for polenation
Perfect timing again for me (first hive). Mine are maybe making plans to swarm, because-maybe they just don’t seem to be taking to the flow hive super yet- there is plenty of activity in the flow-hive super, but they are not really taking to it… so far (and we are in the middle of Leatherwood and tea tree flows… 🙁
I always had to have a conventional super in conjunction with a flow super. Alternating the conventional above and below the flow
With that many bees. Should you add a super asap🤔🤔
maybe 2 supers? those bees are packed in there…
So, always have 1 or 2 extra boxes on hand
I accidentally became a beekeeper about 10 years ago when a swarm landed on my neighbor’s hedge.
He was a big Maori guy but was so scared he knocked on my door to ask what he should do.
I’d had experience in the past with bees so I just covered up and taped everything. Then dumped the whole swarm into a huge cardboard box.
Luckily my mate was an apiarist and he gave me a basic hive setup. They accepted their new home and he picked them up a few days later.
Great video mate. Good to see you didn’t get a ‘bee in your bonnet.’
Hey Hooch, add more honey supers onto your hives.
Lots of info there, thanks Hoocho.Good viewing
That looks like so much fun. I think I am going to try the Hooch Multi Bucket on my channel. In the canna space.
That was crazy! Great job! Thanks for posting!
Funniest video yet hooch
Loved you scurrying around
Well done mate
Bees are the best
Awaryjne 😂😂❤❤
Hoocho! I love seeing this content, fascinated by bee keeping, but I am too scared my dogs will get stung, as we are in a suburbs of melbourne.
Looked at my 2 hives one swarmed again missed it by that much, the other pulled out a few frames and replaced, my understanding got to keep them busy or they will swarm.
I’d like to make a horizontal Langstroth hive at the moment i have a triple super hive (2 supers) and the double super which swarmed. A top bar hive also looks interesting but then to harvest the honey?
Frigging National Geographic up in here, well done Mitch, so exciting! Go bees, go! Oh and also be sure to check around your house now and then, our local swarms always want to take up residence near the hot water system, sometimes they like to come in down the chimney, so not ideal, but you got them straight away, champion 😀
