Super Simple Strawberry System Version 2.0
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Hoocho”.
Hoocho Shows Us How to Build a Super Simple Strawberry System Version 2.0
Hoochos explores the worlds of Hydroponics, Aquaponics, Permaculture, Homesteading, Fermentation, Technology and DIY Builds to look at the world through a larger lens that can incorporate the best of everything into a rich and rewarding lifestyle.
Through self sufficiency we can reduce consumption and increase our hyperlocal household production.
Hoocho the hydroponic mad (good lol) scientist 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I like that you are always trying to make things more efficient… good stuff as always 🔥🔥
Its always something aye Mitchell, we create problems to create solutions lol! Love the new setup, Ive been putting off strawberries because of space issues Im on 1/4 acre but I think I have it worked out, Merry Christmas!
The first YouTube channel that provides real value to patreons. Keep going !
Thanks Hoocho! Merry Christmas to you and the dog. I like the progress and everything you are sharing.
BIG DOG!! been waiting for this bad boy to come out all week. Wondering what glorious information you have for us this week. Love the work big dog. Keep it coming. Highlight of my week
Thanks Hoocho.
Really love that you show people all your miss adventures (not mistakes). It is very humbling of you.. so many other YouTubers would delete that and only show the perfect product..
It has been a very up and down year for you buddy, but you have stuck to your guns and have come at the end a bigger and better man and channel..
Thanks very much for sharing.
Have a wonderful Xmas and a even better productive new year..
I just want to say that while I haven’t had a chance to do much with my own farming yet I really like your videos. They’re very good keep it up. Uk here
Great setup! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Huge thank you for designing for the American system! More please 🍺
❤❤❤
Great video, love watching the process. Thank you for updating the Patreon files. Have a great Holiday!
This looks like a great system. I’ve done many of your systems before and have had great success. My question about this one is…are strawberries worth it? After many seasons of different varieties of vegetables, I’ve never had the output of strawberries similar to tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. I know the tastes are amazing, but do you think the juice is worth the squeeze? Maybe this technique will change my mind though, but I’m hoping to hear from others.
Hoocho, have you modified a ‘deck rail planter’ for any of your rain gutter systems, seems like they would work well. I’ve seen your videos but haven’t seen you utilize them. They are commonly available in Canada, maybe not in Australia.
Thanks for the video mate, love it. I was wondering, with a future version, could you perhaps add tabs to the side of the end caps that have securing buttons on the same. That way, drilling two small holes to fit the tabs would give you that extra security of it not being able to blow the whole end off.
For those that may not have a 3d printer, Mike VanDuzee has developed end caps that you make by casting resin in a mold. Only works with american style downspouts. He has a youtube channel.
Love the chanel Hoocho, from hydroponic systems, nutrients, your LED reviews help a lot since I grow indoors.
Thanks again mate, looking forward to what you’ll come up with next!
Have you considered including screw holes on the sides of the end caps to reduce the chances of blow outs? This would mean the silicon could be used as a gasket instead of as a glue and gasket.
Love the creative approaches and ingenuity. Always appreciate the sharing of lessons learned. Every learns more from the mistakes than the successes! Thank you!
Awesome creations. Ill have to give this a go. I can’t help wondering about leeching. Plastic’s and other such material can and will leech chemical, from its structure, into your soil. I guess we cant really get away from it unless we use wood from a safe source.
if you get some clear bags you could see it wicking in real time. Great way to demonstrate this awesome design. 🙂
Hi Hoocho! I love your videos. They’ve been very inspiring! It looks like you’ve created a wonderful paradise for yourself 🙂 I wanted to ask, how often do you drain the nutrient solution for your strawberries, or do you just let it fill through the float valves as it evaporates?
