Today I'm taking you along for a quick little farm update as I wind up some old cable and tell you about the internet problems we recently had here at Homegrown Passion.
Our old wireless bridge system had been working for about 12 years, but when it finally went down, I couldn't access my greenhouse environmental controls the way I needed to!
Thankfully, we've been upgrading things around the farm, including our fiber internet and the wireless connection between the house and greenhouse.
And what a difference!
Our new system is so much faster, and now I can check my greenhouse environmental settings and Ambient Weather system without all that frustrating lag.
It's amazing how much technology goes into growing fresh produce these days!
And because you know how we do things around here… I'm saving that old cable. You never know when something might come in handy! 😂

It’s amazing how much we depend on technology here at the farm, especially with all my greenhouse environmental controls!

Much to my wife’s dislike I do save old things and they do come in handy. Now your internet is interesting as I have a new shop building that needs internet. We have fiber at the house. You gave me another option to consider. Thank you for sharing.
I’m on 2 different wireless networks on our property. I went with AT&T with a starlink satellite backup. We should never completely drop service. I’m so spread out here that this was the only plan that made sense. we have to be guaranteed five nines of-service Level here at this point as a commercial business so redundancy is a must.
