Spring onions take around 8 weeks to reach their ideal harvest size from the day the seedlings are transplanted. They’re relatively slow-growing, but very low-maintenance crops.

While spring onions grow well on aeroponic towers, traditional onions don’t because they form underground bulbs. The same applies to potatoes, carrots, and most root vegetables or tubers.
