Since I was a kid, I have been mistaken for being Mexican. When asked what my nationality was I always responded "American", as a kid, that's what I thought. I was born and raised here. My parents were born and raised here. Because I look different and I live within 100 miles of a coastline, I can be questioned. After six decades of telling people around the world America is the best country. Questioning it myself now.
