Building a Vertical Farm with 140 Aeroponic Towers in Trinidad & Tobago
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Agrotonomy”.Β
Our team was on the ground in Trinidad & Tobago, a vibrant Caribbean island nation where more than 80% of produce is imported. Together with our local partners, we built a vertical farm featuring 140 aeroponic towers to promote food security, sustainability, and local empowerment.
In just a few days, the site was transformed into a fully functional vertical farm. Each tower connects to a centralized gravity-fed tank as part of a fully automated irrigation and nutrient dosing system that delivers perfectly balanced, nutrient-enriched water to every plant.
Seedlings of lettuce, basil, thyme, mint, and edible flowers were transplanted onto the towers, and within 48 hours our local partners were fully trained to operate the farm independently. This project demonstrates how aeroponic tower technology can enable anyone, even without farming experience, to grow fresh food sustainably.
Each tower supports 36 to 52 plants while using up to 95% less water and 90% less space than traditional farming. This Tower Farm in Trinidad & Tobago is a powerful example of how aeroponic vertical farming can help island nations achieve true food independence.
