How do you keep from tearing the other roots when you pull out the cabbage?
We usually dedicate each tower to a single crop, so all the plants on that tower are ready to harvest at the same time. Since the whole tower is harvested together, there are no remaining plants whose roots could be damaged. We harvest with the roots intact, which helps the crops stay fresh much longer, and then a new batch of seedlings is transplanted onto the tower.
