I Wasn’t Expecting THIS in My Greenhouse!

This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Homegrown Passion”.

I thought I was simply wrapping up my final greenhouse harvest of 2026… but I wasn't expecting quite so many surprises! 🍅🌶️

My tomato plants are still producing beautiful fruit, the peppers and jalapeños are looking wonderful, and we're getting ready to put the greenhouse to bed for winter. But I've also discovered some unwelcome visitors! Whiteflies have taken over parts of my tomato plants, aphids have moved into the peppers, and I think I've discovered one of the ways these little troublemakers have been getting inside!

Come along with me at Bradwood Farm as we pick the last big harvest, investigate our greenhouse pest problems, and talk about what I've learned from another growing season.

And there's one more thing I've been saving for last… my hydroponically grown GINGER! 🌱 I've been growing it in a big barrel for months, and we're finally going to find out what's hiding beneath those leaves. I can't wait to show you what we discovered!

In today's farm adventure, we're talking about harvesting greenhouse tomatoes, peppers and jalapeños, identifying whiteflies and aphids, protecting plants with insect screening, and growing and harvesting fresh ginger in a greenhouse.

Well, my greenhouse certainly kept me on my toes this year! 😂🍅 Between the whiteflies, those pesky aphids, and a few surprises hiding beneath the leaves, there was never a dull moment!

Now I have a question for all of you…

**If you could grow only ONE thing in your garden next year, what would it be?** 🍅🌶🌱

And be honest… did you expect that ginger harvest? 😉❤

Tell me where you’re watching from, too! I love seeing how far our little farm family reaches.

I’ll be popping into the comments to chat with you!

Seeing the red tomato literally made my mouth water. i wish I could taste it. I’m sure it’s very tasty.

    • @HomegrownPassion says:

Haha, I totally get it! That tomato was seriously good. Hope you get your hands on some equally tasty ones soon if not come and get some of mine. With the market over I have no idea what to do with 400+ pounds of tomatoes.

love Ginger! Never knew it could be grown in a barrel like that! Looks so easy to harvest the way you do it! Never expected that it opened up as easily as that. I know I would have a hard time with it. Would love to try it myself!

    • @HomegrownPassion says:

Who knew a barrel could be Ginger’s five-star resort? And yes, “easy to harvest” is a relative term, but I’m glad I made it look convincing! You should definitely give it a go!

  • @SmudgeGB says:

I will never look at ginger the same way again 🥰

The Cowboys and Packers are playing right now and I came back to check out Katy againnnn. She’s probably 15-20 years older than me and got me hooked. Laughing at myself. After watching his team tonight, Jerry Jones might prefer to watch HomeGrown Passion and Katy, too. 🤣

    • @HomegrownPassion says:

LOL, that’s hilarious! Glad I’m keeping you entertained, even if it means missing some football. 😉

The big hydroponic glasshouses up the road change their tomatoes each year in March. I think they have 28 hectares under glass. Great video and camera work as usual.

    • @HomegrownPassion says:

Whoa, 28 hectares of tomatoes is wild! Sounds like they’re really serious about their March harvest. Glad you liked the video and the shots, thanks for watching!
