Growing food outdoors during a heatwave. The lettuce is struggling, but the rest is doing great!

This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Agrotonomy”.

The last couple of weeks have been challenging with the heatwaves. We've been dealing with daytime temperatures sometimes reaching 40°C (104°F). While our tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs, and most leafy greens have handled the heat surprisingly well, our lettuce has reached its limit. Our Batavia lettuce has started bolting instead of forming nice, compact heads. In previous years, our summer temperatures rarely exceeded 36°C (97°F), and we were still harvesting beautiful uniform lettuce. This year has been a different story. That's farming. Every season teaches you something new, and sometimes the weather reminds you who's really in charge. Thankfully, the rest of the farm is still thriving.

How does this stuff taste? I was always told hydroponically grown food doesn’t taste as good as soil grown.
