This is how we grow 18 zucchini plants vertically on an aeroponic tower
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Agrotonomy”.
1. Planting Strategy: Zucchini plants develop large leaves and extensive root systems, so it's important not to overcrowd them. We plant only 2 zucchini plants per section on opposite sides of the tower, for a total of 18 plants per tower. We also install a grow cage to support the plants and keep the heavy foliage under control as they mature.
2. Seedlings: Zucchini seeds germinate very quickly. We place one seed per Rockwool cube, and within just two weeks, the seedlings will have developed their first two true leaves, an indicator that they are ready for transplanting.
3. Nutrients: A submersible pump located in the bottom reservoir intermittently irrigates the roots for a total of 4.8 hours per day. This nutrient-rich solution supplies all the essential minerals and trace elements the zucchini plants need for healthy growth and high yields.
4. Powdery Mildew: The biggest challenge we face when growing zucchini on aeroponic towers is powdery mildew, especially because our farm is located in a hot and humid climate. To minimize this issue, we choose varieties that have strong resistance to powdery mildew.
5. Variety: The zucchini variety featured in this video is known as Dunja. It is an early-maturing, high-yielding cultivar with a high resistance to powdery mildew, making it a perfect variety for hot, humid environments.
6. Harvest: You can expect your first zucchinis in as little as four weeks after transplanting. After that, it's important to harvest them regularly at the ideal size, as zucchini can grow surprisingly fast and quickly become oversized marrows if left on the plant.

WOW! HELP fight world hunger! God bless you!❤😂
Thank you so much!
Can we keep the plant as it is. Let them reproduce the harvest
Certain crops can be cut and grown again. However, from a commercial perspective, we harvest with the roots intact to increase the shelf life of the crop. Once it has been harvested, you replant new seedlings in order to maximize our annual crop yield output.
@Agrotonomylet say we want to do it big scale(for women and child care organisations) how to contact you. And is it hard to get the firtilizer mixture to put in the water. Cause we are in Malaysia
What kind of nutrients fou you use on all of your crops and is it available to buy?
The ionic mineral solution isn’t a homemade formula, it’s specifically formulated for these aeroponic towers. The ratios are designed to match the irrigation cycles and stock nutrient containers of the system so every crop gets exactly what it needs. It’s not a generic hydroponic mix, but it is available to anyone who owns the towers, so you can easily get more whenever you need more.
Hello, do you have the same vitamins and minerals in it as the one that grows on the ground?
The nutrient solution is we use is a blend of natural ionic minerals, the same essential minerals plants absorb in soil, only in purified form. It includes things like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and trace elements that crops need to grow healthy and strong. There are no chemicals, additives, or anything artificial, just the essential minerals all plants require, delivered in a clean, food-safe way for aeroponic farming.
@Agrotonomyyum! 🤤
I would like to purchase this sample set in South Korea.
Glad you’re interested in our aeroponic towers. They’re available on our website. Just click the link in our bio for more details.
The seedling look to have some compound around when they are planted – there are no bare roots. What is this compound?
That’s agricultural rockwool! It’s the soilless medium we use to germinate our seeds. Made from basaltic rock, it has an excellent air to water ratio which makes it ideal for seed germination. The seedlings grow in it until they develop their first true leaves, then the whole rockwool cube gets transplanted directly into the tower.
Synthetic
Our mineral nutrient solution contains all the essential macronutrients and micronutrients, along with trace elements vital for healthy plant growth. Rest assured, these minerals are completely natural, not synthetic.
I have a question . how much water do you use in a day and what is the electricity cost
Each tower uses a 45-watt pump for about 4.8 hours daily, costing around $1.20 per month at $0.18/kWh. Water usage is about 1 to 2 gallons per day, depending on the crops and conditions.
I know I’ll have the best garden after I get these set up. I’m so excited
Glad to hear this!
What do you do to prevent pests?
When vertical farming on aeroponic towers, the plants are much less accessible to pests since they are growing off the ground. However, if we do have an insect problem, we use natural and organic pest control options such as neem oil, pyrethrin, Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), and agricultural soap (potassium salts).
Seriously where do you buy this areponic towers
Do you only use one kind of solution mox from seed to harvest? Or you change the solution based on thebplant stage? This is the one thing i get so confused about with hydroponics/aeroponics
Nice
