I Saw $25 Flower Bouquets… So I Tried Selling My Own!

This Video is from the Youtube channel:Homegrown Passion”.

My flower garden has absolutely exploded this summer, and after seeing someone selling tiny dahlia bouquets for $25 each at the farmers market, I started thinking… maybe I've been overlooking another crop right here on the farm! 🌻🌸

So today I'm heading into the garden to harvest some of my favorite flowers and put together bouquets for the farmers market. I'm cutting bee balm, snapdragons, dahlias, sunflowers and more while sharing a few things I've learned about keeping these flowers producing through the rest of summer.

I'm definitely still learning when it comes to growing cut flowers, but that's half the fun. If I can sell a few little bouquets for $4 or $5 and pay for next year's seeds, I'll be pretty happy. And who knows… maybe flowers will become another Bradwood Farm crop!

But flowers aren't the only thing happening around here.

Later, I'm heading back into the greenhouse to harvest tomatoes for the farmers market—and this week's harvest definitely wasn't what I expected. I've been averaging around 150 pounds of tomatoes a week, but something happened that appears to have affected the plants and cut this week's harvest dramatically.

Thankfully, the new flower clusters are looking much healthier, so I'm hoping we're already headed back toward normal production.

There's plenty more happening around the farm too. My melons are taking off, I've got some gourds that I waited WAY too long to plant 😄, and there are a few more summer projects I need to get caught up on.

Thanks for spending another day out here on the farm with me. ❤️

Okay, I need your help with my little flower experiment! 🌻😂 If you saw one of my bouquets sitting at the farmers market, what would you actually pay for it?

I saw those little $25 dahlia bouquets and thought… maybe I’ve been leaving money growing in my garden all summer! 😂

And yes, I’ll let you know how mine actually did at the market.

Don’t undersell yourself. I paid $18 for a small bag bouquet of sunflowers and cabbage, with some fillers, at heinen’s yesterday. Yours are worth at least $15 a bunch. Maybe more because of where your market is.

I appreciate the encouragement and the perspective on what bouquets are going for! ❤️ I need to start looking at prices.
