I use a covered butter dish. I leave my butter on the counter and it has never gotten old. I go through a stick every 3 weeks and have even gone longer some months.
I use real butter all the time…and I leave my butter out on the counter all the time in a butter dish, never in the frig, unless it’s not being used yet. I had a butter bell like you are showing & that was more hassel to me & I eventually stopped using it. To each his own. 😉
