Let s get started

You will need:
2 pcs of wooden flat strips 5 Feet long.
Start by marking the drilling points
Next drill the 8 mm holes
Insert the wall plugs
Then fix the wooden strips
For the growing tubes I’m using this UPVC Rain gutters + Brackets + left & right end caps
Connect the end caps with the pipes
Use a self-drilling screw to secure the end caps to the pipes.
Next fix the brackets to the wooden strips.
Space the pipes 1 ft apart
Continue to fix the brackets and the pipes.
Irrigation & Drainage:
Drill the inlet hole and insert the rubber ring + elbow
Drill a hole at the bottom of the pipe and place the rubber ring + the connector
Cut the hose and connect the growing pipes together.
Im using 10 gallons container as a water reservoir.
Drill a hole at the both sides.
Submersible water pump:
– 35 w
– Max high 2m
Connect the drainage pipe to the Reservoir.
Then connect the water pump to the first grow pipe.
I added a valve to control the water flow and use to mix the fertilizer.
For this system I found LECA balls is the best growing medium.
Wash them nicely before you use.
A plastic netting mesh to prevent clogging in the pipes
Fill the pipes halfway with LECA
If you can’t find LECA balls, you can use gravel or river stones
Turn on the water pump and test the system.
The nutrients solution:
You can simply buy a hydroponic fertilizer or make your own.
I make my own fertilizer. Check the description box for the video
Ensure the water temperature is below 75 °F
Start by testing the EC level then add the fertilizer in small amount.
Keep adding till you reach the target EC.
Plants generally have a range of pH they are at their most comfortable
Which is usually 5.5-6.5.
Transplanting the seedling is the exciting part @5MinuteCraftsDIY
Place the seedling inside the LECA balls make sure they touch the nutrient film
Make 8 inch space between the seedlings.
Now enjoy watching the plants growing healthy and 0 pesticides
Harvest and enjoy fresh vegetables & leafy greens from your home hydroponic garden.
