Hey mate have ever thought about using plasma activated water instead of chemicals?

    • @MindTrip7 says:

If he got with the plasma channel guy 🤯

    • @HarmonicSardonic says:

      My exact same thoughts.
Lowest cost, most efficient system available.

    • @jejun0tr says:

      wat?

    • @HarmonicSardonic says:

@jejun0tr You run a plasma torch and blend the water (you know, like in a blender while the torch is running), and the water all gets ‘licked’ basically by the plasma which lowers its PH and infuses nitrogen into the water. Doesn’t solve every nutrient but makes water a nitrogen rich fertilizer with nothing but electricity.

You can also use a steam wand to nitrogenate water too but it doesn’t last.

    • @MindTrip7 says:

@HarmonicSardonic excessive nitrogen is what attracts bugs through SAP and Brix variations

  • @styxerion8572 says:

How about placing some upside down plastic pots to the bottom to save on clay ball usage?

  • @wayne8113 says:

    Thanks Hoocho, Like it 👍

  • @Test-Call says:

Great video, can coco coir be used? With some kind of cover or mulching on it?

  • @Sophie_519 says:

    Hmmm… I am thinking …
    “That’s a good way to grow wasabi~”

  • @moqo says:

    Grate video mate 😉

  • @jackyboyau3581 says:

How much can you extend the outside growing season of vegetables by using hydro and temperature controlled water reservoir? Amazing video Hoocho!

  • @jeremyalbert3969 says:

the lil piece of pipe trick is game changing il try that next!

  • @zebbugi86 says:

Awesome try man. The pump works all the time or at intervals? Also, I would add a small lip at the end in order to preserve some moisture just in case the pump fails/reduce pump time work.

  • @atulagarwal5514 says:

is active hydroponics really worth the headache? or the comfort of passive is more better?

  • @razbradley4750 says:

Wonder if you could put some little stumpy walls across the channel in a couple locations so that water pools just a little – giving a bit of a short term power outage backup failsafe…

  • @NORATECHNOLOGIES says:

    Great like always brother 👍

  • @Steve_Greening says:

Have you ever experimented with the same technique but running in a length of gutter channel, obviously the clay balls would only be 30/40mm deep but I’m wondering wether that would be enough to sustain the plants, I might try might that myself could be an interesting experiment

  • @astatine0085 says:

You can get table legs at thrift stores too just disassemble a variety of coffee tables or whatever height you want or use the base of the table if it’s kind of narrow and add Walls to it essentially and then you have your hydroponic container on legs

  • @astatine0085 says:

Curious, are the clay balls reusable or could you make your own if you had clay-soil?

  • @AttentionEconomyJMB says:

Based on how this system functions, it would undoubtedly a NFT system. Still a cool system though.

  • @cubosdavinci says:

“Instead of pouring clay balls all over the bed, couldn’t you cut PVC cylinders and insert the clay balls inside to plant inside those cylinders?”

  • @papachuck6007 says:

Clay balls are 8.99 for a 2L bag at Canadian Tire, I don’t use them LOL
