Growing food in plastics isn’t exactly great for you. Even “food grade” you still have bisphenols and phthalates in that petroleum product…
These were found to not leach and where tested after 10 years of growing in the sun to have zero nanoparticle breakdown. It’s not perfect but these use no soil and 90% less water. Water these days is contaminated with plastics and pharmaceuticals as well as the compost you buy at the store. Compost comes in cheap plastic that leaches into the compost and when I bought it in bulk mine was full of ground up plastic feed bags. There is also the pharmaceutical issue with all the pharma going into the animals the compost comes from.
