Never a “good thing” when you need a wheel barrow or similar to harvest the pumpkins.
Know any Americans for pumpkin pie recipes?

  • @taniac1860 says:

We store our pumpkins outside undercover, and just make sure the arenโ€™t touching each other. We normally harvest enough to see us right through the year or more, along with giving some away. Just be sure to harden them off for a week or two in sunlight.

Omg I know the feeling. ๐Ÿ˜‚ we don’t get as much as you did, but when it’s on, it’s on. Pumpkin dip, roasted pumpkin for salad, crumbed pumpkin wedges, pumpkin bread, pumpkin and cheddar scones, pumpkin and yabby soup, pumpkin and chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin flat breads, pumpkin sourdough pasta, pumpkin cupcakes, pumpkin waffles, pumpkin frittata and my favourite pumpkin rocket prosciutto and goats fetta tart. If in doubt, add pumpkin ๐Ÿ˜‚

You need to get a pumpkin cookbook. You’ll be sick of them in a week or two. Maybe you can give some to a food bank. Do you have those in Australia?

  • @niamhfox9559 says:

Good harvest Bianca! We got 42 pumpkins 2 years in a row years ago and we used to trade them for supplies for our small business and with other gardeners.

  • @Gayle.M says:

You can play zucchini ditch and dash, except with pumpkins.
Ohh, someone forgot to lock their car? Pumpkin. Neighbor not home? Pumpkin. Stroller at the park is empty? Pumpkin.

  • @craftilyrecycled says:

A LOT! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ pumpkin soup freezes well… make a huge batch, store as ready meals in freezer. But, yeah, still too many. Veggie stall at front gate? Good luck!

  • @badajoma says:

Oh Yes! Pumpkin scones a must. Also pumpkin soup in this winter cold
