Donβt count ya chickens mate π
Tried that with one of ours but she always went clucky again within days.Alas being a bantam she flew over the fence and staight into the mouth of our rescue greyhound and that solved the problem. Am going to stick to the larger chickens in future they do not escape their area.Clipped wings did not stop the smaller birds from getting over fences. We eat a lot of eggs and now down to just 3 layers.Doing well so far and have not had to buy any.We usuall try to breed some now as they are ready to lay when the older ones go into moult and are coming off the lay. Hope things are coming along with the tractor.
