Thunderstorm Fills the Dams & Damages The Walls ⛈️⛈️ – From Farm Channel

This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Rob Bob’s Aquaponics & Backyard Farm”.

Hi Folks. We’ve had rain, YAY!! 😃The Dams/Ponds may be failing, BOO!! 😖
While we’re upbeat we won’t know more until we arrive back to the farm this weekend (probably while your watching this video😉).

Some very useful info about preventing erosion and building erosion preventive structures from rocks and wooden logs can be found at a channel called River Ridge Ranch. Really useful information which I can really recommend. All the materials that are used in their instruction videos are natural and for free on your property.

Bentonite, but large rocks wont help. As for overflow a 200+mm pipe don’t bother with 150mm made that mistake when an event hits water flows everywhere and though 100mm or 150mm look good the amount it moves also looks good the catchment area you have will fill that up – ideally have spill way and a 200+mm overflow and the spill way should hopefully be used minimally. Those rock matts that Tim Cook had on his show look good too for spill ways..

Bentonite is a pond maker’s best friend.
Don’t ever use foam, it WILL degrade over time and WILL leach into the water.
Either get a small fergi tractor 2-4k and do the work slowly yourself or get it done professionally I’d do the first considering I have a farm and a need for it…..
