I grew kohlrabi in this method. Kohlrabi is low calorie low carb and versatile. Use in place of potatoes in any dish or slice raw and add to salads.
Carrots don’t work out well so I’m trying an olla this time. Carrots need soil so I’m filling the bucket with coco and watering in the olla.

Just whipped up a few more gutter downspouts about 30 mins ago! Always a pleasure to see an update Mr Mike! I have always planted in ground until this year. Im excited to see everything coming together so i can keep it all going through the winter months as well. Truly an inspiration sir!

Wow this is interesting! Would love to know more, esp since my thumb isn’t green, more like yellow/brown. Lol not kidding

  • @BrokeButBountifullyBlessed532 says:

  • @ronm6585 says:

    Thank you. 👍🏻😊

  • @tiffneydaley4679 says:

How do you keep your nutrients cool living in Florida?

  • @zoeyshoots says:

How do you keep your water temperature down? My buckets go in shade around 2:30 pm. I check the water temp at 7 pm and it’s in the high 80s low 90s.. I finally bought styrofoam coolers , taped shade cloth on them and hope for the best.

  • @patrickmcmanus5373 says:

The problem with kraty and hydroponics outdoors where I live in tropical Australia the heat turns the nutrient solution’s pH out. Forever chasing the pH because of the heat. I use the large red top container’s like you.
    Any hints

  • @NHJDT says:

Is that formula exactly the same whether you’re growing greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash?

  • @chickens642 says:

Ugh my greenhouse has been destroyed by hail. The size of baseball holes. Love how you do it. I’ve got bathtubs

  • @chezronstevenson6825 says:

Thanks! I’m real interested in how you do the beets! 😊

  • @csflmich2239 says:

Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration, looking forward to updates as well!

  • @uc3119 says:

I love how you love to experiment with different things! Those veg are beautiful. What do they taste like? It would be fun to bubble a nice solution with greensand, glacial and rock crush, azomite, humic/fumic acids, etc… maybe adding compost broth and worm castings, not sure! Love to experiment too, in my mind lol 😀

  • @ScubaDrew says:

Hey Mike, been watching you for years. Nothing makes me want to get out and do some gardening more than you. Thank you for that.
