You grow such gorgeous plants! I can’t believe how big they are. Over here by Nashville, I’m just starting to put out selling – we’ve had 3-ish days of sun in the last 4 weeks. Only 50° today.
How are you protecting your plants from the “polluted” rain we get when the skies are “augmented”?

    • @alternativehomesteadingchannel says:

I’m not. I’m going to do a high tunnel at some point but it’s still on and in everything so it’s frutal. Eating clean helps to cleanse that crap from our bodies.

    Oh YUMMMMM!!!
Now I’m craving that salsa with some olive oil and soaked bulgar wheat.

Loved this! I am inspired to build some healthy salads. I think I will make the oxymels too. I have thyme and rosemary I overwintered in the house here in Montana and a gallon of crystallized honey. Thanks for the great ideas❤

    • @alternativehomesteadingchannel says:

Oxymel is the best!!! I’m obsessed with using it on everything.

I was literally wanting to hand you some of my fresh picked limes to juice for your salsa! lol
    Looks delish!!

I’d do a fritata, I been harvesting my asparagus and doing breakfast casseroles and those onions would be good also, as well as just grilling it as a side. I Love your towers but don’t really have a good spot for something like that. Our weather had been so crazy so missed the window of being able to grow any greens, it gets hot so fast they just bolt, ugg…

    • @ivorykeys1566 says:

Debrathompson…. maybe you could do the Green stalks on a deck or back porch & just put out vegetables that need lots of sun. You only need a good 4ft square spot on a deck.(“BECOMING A FARMGIRL” channel did that)
I would much rather do the hydroponics outside, or just the aeroponics even tho I have 6 hydroponic Aero gardens inside my house that are growing wonderful.
Our Aldi grocery store carried a knock-off version(The Plant Tower), of the green stalk last wk & I purchased 16 containers … I live in the city & have a small deck but it will work in the corner of my deck & I am going to put it on a large heavy duty caster so I can turn it around so that every side will get sun… I will not stack it 16 high bc I won’t be able to teach the top, & it could easily topple over from a good wind! 🫤.
Anxious to get those started as soon as the weather stops being so chilly in Zone 7b.
      ● Also i just recall seeing a “grandma” who designed her own water system into the ones from DOLLAR TREE! A-MAZING!! Her channel is “Life on Turkey Lane”. 😁
