If a carpenter could either remove and reinstall her front door to an in-swing (rather than an outswing) it will prevent water damage to the interior of the home as well as the door itself. But ideally, in tiny homes with a gable roof, entry doors should be installed in the gable ends for this reason. ❤ Wish I could come and help everybody.
Just got to the place in your video where the kitchen is in-process. Another suggestion- unless the door on the fridge can be reversed, it would be better to relocate the fridge to the right of the stove for ease of access. (Just trying to help from Alabama).❤️
Sweetie I UNDERSTAND that the situation there is unimaginably difficult. I get that! But I just watched the living room/kitchen building being dropped off WITHOUT any concrete blocks underneath to get it off the ground. Not good. The floor will not last as it should and mold WILL begin to grow on the bottom side of the floor deck if that isn’t corrected as soon as feasible. Then the occupants will begin to have health problems associated with inhalation of mold spores, and we sure don’t want THAT on top of everything else these dear folks have already had to endure. ❤ Goes back to the old adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. I used to reconstruct behind fire and water damage and I am serious when I tell you that mold growth can cost lives, due to renal failure.
I think that was not the permanent place for that structure.
@gardengrowinmawmaw8642 thank you dear sister for your reply😊 Yes, I heard that as well. However, as a retired home builder, I can tell you that one good soaking rain in that muddy field where they dropped it and there are going to be a whole lot more issues than a rotting floor. Once that floor deck begins to sit in standing water, the skids underneath the floor deck will become soggy. Once the floor deck becomes soggy, now we’re talking about the fact that that now-soggy floor is what is supporting all of the walls and the roof! As time passes, the water begins to just work its way right on up the walls as the entire building begins to sink into the mud. (Because each new round of rain and storms worsens an already bad situation). Then at some point down the road, whenever somebody does try to pull the building up and out of where it has settled, serious structural damage is likely to occur. And as much work and money as these folks have invested into the home, it may all be lost… and whoever’s home it was would then be homeless again. ❤️
It’s temporary.
You all have done miracles for people in your area. Isn’t God amazing?!?! Your mushrooms are beautiful!! Love the way you keep us involved.

You are a blessing to so many. God bless you. If you have the time to answer and if you know, could you tell me where to buy one of those emergency water filtration systems I thought I saw on your channel? It looked custom made with several filters attached to an open sided metal box and could be attached to a garden hose.
Fantastic Steff. Does the fridge run on gas?
Appreciate you so much Steff!! Everything you do to teach us and everyone you help…….a big thank you!🌷😘🌷
