dam i think i stuffed that up
They can all be top grafted with fruiting wood๐
The bananas Iโm growing in my banana circle are great great +++++++++++++++daughters of bananas my mother used to grow at the house I grew up in so the original plants were started by her over 70 years ago ๐๐๐
Canโt remember who posted it but there has been a very good cane toad tadpole trap to reduce the population. Works very well๐
Hi Rob and Bianca, Is it still raining frogs there? Your chickens look good. And Happy New Year. I would like to see more of this type of video, but whatever you do is great. Stay well!
They are a nice looking breed. I have 3 RIR hens and 2 mix austrolorps. I get 3-5 eggs a day. Perfect for our two households each week.
Would some fly screen in the top of the rain gauge, in a cone shape help keep the frogs out๐บ๐บ
To address your flooded road: Although a bridge would be ideal, they are terribly expensive. An alternative I’ve seen in one of our poorer states is just multiple culvert pipes for large streams, small rivers, and seasonal watershed. Adding culverts could be done in a day with a good backhoe crew.
I love frogs ๐ธ We used to get green tree frogs at our old house. It was always wise to inspect the toilet before sitting on it because the frogs love it in there. ๐
Just watching your latest video. Came across a video on Gardening Australia on the newest cane toad trap developed here in Queensland to help rural people with dams to control populations. Great video that may be interesting for you to see.
Great job on the channel ๐
Hello there again. Here is the YouTube video title. โGardening Australia- New cane toad traps / Pest and Disease control.โ Bye for now ๐
Thanks Rob and Bianca for the interesting farm chat. I didn’t know Rob could multi task, very good mate!
Just love getting the hands dirty potting things on.Good job Bianca.Have seen a video where a chap cuts those pineapples in half and gets 4 plants out of the tops. Alas my energy levels too low these days so getting into some microgreens for my salads. Only problem am using clay pebbles and do not get the dirty hands lol
tis about time for a biochar video me thinks
Love the potting table!!!
I was soo happy to see you today. My first time see the lovely miss B. I said hi to jack also. You were shoppjng at IGA.
Cows make good lawnmowers. Maybe make a deal with the neighbour to pasture some cows in an area thatโs hard for you to mow.
Landline did a story on a Toad Buster trap – apparently a university developed the bait (5 for $23 or so) to trap the toad poles. However Hoocho on his site did a trap years ago which used a dead one to trap them as they’re attracted by the toxin the eggs and toads have as nourishment to grow out.
I just caught all (hopefully) the green tree frogs that abandoned the house in the last storm and going to relocate them for same reason for snakes and the noise and carp they produce!
How you going to plant the avocados? They don’t like clay soil and the tap root if it hits it the plant will die. I put a seed to plant and it’s half a meter up on raised bed with half a meter 300m diameter hole filled with sand to allow the tap root to get down – so far the “tree” is 3-4m high it had one fruit on it up to inch long but then dropped off – fingers crossed will be better next year.
This was a lovely little catch up and I liked the idea of doing something while you talk. I know the wallabies are a pest but they are so cute too.
