Planting Hydroponic Tomatoes in Winter (Bato Bucket Reset + Trellis Setup)
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Homegrown Passion”.
Today I’m planting hydroponic tomatoes and resetting our Bato bucket tomato rows for spring. We trellis tall plants, fire up the outdoor wood boiler to protect greenhouse heat, and make a Yoder’s supply run.

In this video you’ll see:
– Resetting Bato bucket rows (clean layout, no kinks)
– Drain-to-waste details (discharge line clicks, avoiding leaks)
– Planting tomatoes in 100% perlite (2 plants per bucket)
– Rapid Rooter plugs (100% germination this round)
– Dropping trellis strings + why straight stems matter for lean-and-lower
– Winter heat backup with the outdoor wood boiler

Bonjour madame. Magnifique travaille.

Hi. Katy
You know I always like your videos. I believe there is another store out next to you or around your area called Lehman’s. I believe it’s called. Have you ever shopped there? You probably made a video about what plants need propagating from insects. The greenhouse that I have in the garage little over a year ago. I think I’m gonna put that up. I was wondering about pepper plants tomato plants if they need insects to produce well have a nice rest of your weekend and don’t work too hard today. It’s Sunday. Joe
Always look forward to Katy’s great pointers on hydroponics and growing nice tomatoes! An inspiration to amateur horticulturists all around!
Hey Katy, Could you tell me where this Yoder’s place is at in Ohio? We have one here in Indiana, but they only have food products. Thanks and Have A Blessed Day!!
Katy another beautiful video as they all are. I love the Bato system and so wish I had the room to build something like that. I have gotten sidetracked ( typical for me) and running behind already for the year. I went to the Arizona worm farm last weekend and I got hooked on their composting process. I was already doing some but have decided to go a bit larger. The largest problem we have is there no way we can use the soil we have around us. So we must create the perfect growing medium. I so wish we had a place like Yoders close to us. Keep up the good work and try and relax when you can. If you have a few minutes while drinking coffee check out the Arizona Worm Farm.
