People Keeping These to Grow Food and Save Landfills
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Keep on Growin’ with Mike VanDuzee”.
Repurposing takeout trays into microgreen growers is a brilliant eco-conscious initiative that repurposes everyday items for sustainable cultivation. These trays become perfect vessels for nurturing microgreens. Their shallow depth is ideal for the initial growth stages, ensuring adequate water for the entire microgreen grow. No more watering 2 to 3 times a day.. Not only does this creative approach minimize waste, but it also promotes a greener lifestyle, demonstrating how simple adaptations can yield substantial environmental benefits.
Great content brother.
Hello
Gotta try this 😊
I’ve been growing microgreens in takeout containers like this for a good while. Just with paper towels. *No soil*. No nutrients. I cut the slits on the two long sides, cover the whole surface of the upturned lid; and use the paper towels as a growing mat. So much cleaner and easier.
Amazing! I grow mine larger so I can transfer them to my big containers for baby greens or I would do that too.
Great job! Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing 🙏 😎 🏝 🏖
Thank you, Mike. You ideas are the best!!!
Thank you! You have inspired me to grow food hydroponically.
How to know if the plastic container qualifies as “Food Safe”?
Look at the number on the bottom in the recycle symbol
This channel is great! Thank you for helping more people grow greens. Found out recently that 80% of agricultural land and grazing land is used for feeding animals that only provide a small fraction of the food we eat. More greens!
Hey Mike, thanks.
Always love the “how-to” videos. Seeing is believing and makes a good reference if you forget any steps. Thanks, Mike!
I knew I kept those salad containers for a reason 💚
Been watching your videos forever but first time I saw this one Love Prof Mike with old school chalkboard❤
Great video. Finally saw rated growing micro greens again as soon as it warmed up. I just started using the 4×6” trays that come with broccoli and they’re like single serve micro greens. I did transfer some of the seedlings to a pot and am hoping to get some plants. Can’t wait for the next video because I’ll have to give it a go growing hydroponic indoors because the squirrels eat anything I put outside. Thanks for the lessons and ideas, Mike 🌟
Thanks for sharing stay safe ❤❤❤
Mike, you got me picking up trash to grow in!😎
I’ve been nursing a tomato seed in a quart mason jar. Learning a lot. What’s wild is recycling tomato suckers! 😮
Nonstop tomatoes 🍅
You rock!
