Organic Hydroponics, Not So Smart Chooks π & Spraying Rat Tail Grass
This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Rob Bob’s Aquaponics & Backyard Farm”.Β
Hi folks. Here's a bit of a look at what I've been up to as well as our silly chooks. Full update on the organic hydro will be coming in the next few days.
Hope you're all doing well.
Cheers all.

The treatment going onto the soil is "Soil Trooper"
"Nigrospora oryzae Natural Soil Fungus assists breakdown of organic material in pasture soils".
An unfortunate side effect is that it also causes crown rot in Giant Rat tail & Parramatta grasses, both invasive species here in Australia.

@RobsAquaponics I thought you were talking about Parramatta Westies Sydney…”checked flannelette shirts,” “hotted-up cars,” and “Ugg boots,”π€£
To be fair, regarding the spraying, you have done a lot with water vessels, pumps, and irrigation lines on this channel so thereβs probably room for you to build and upgrade your own setup after the immediate job is handled, so youβre in the nice position where you donβt have to rely on the commercial products as they are supplied in the long run
i have used the silvian 55l tow behind unit with a boomless sprayer, its been great for the last few years all in it was $400 ish from my local rural supply store(crt) i think you can special order them from bunnnings too if you dont need it untill probably after xmas.
looks just like that redline one not sure who makes it for who though
good dau
Grandfather had a pump that slid on power takeoff on tractor with chain on it to keep it from spinning around , a 55 gallon a three-point hitch arms.
The pump pumped out of the 55 gallon barrel had a line that shot it back into the top of the barrel to mix spray dopes.
The pressure line had two tees on it that fed two swinging arms when on each side of the barrel that had springs on it and by using 2 90s on the arms and a nipple when we were driving through the bushes arms would fold back and as soon as we went by the bush, the arms and swing back to the original position everything was homemade except for the pump that went on the PTO shaft.
Basic setup with valves setup like you do for aquaculture tank to grow bed for pressure adjustments
Thank you for another great video
