Isn’t it a joy to grow your own! I love giving friends lettuce seedlings, microdwarf tomato plants, pepper plants, herbs or even a loaf of hone baked bread! Teaching people how to grow their own food and giving them choices is a blast!

  • @allisonstacey says:

I’ve been going through all of your old videos-I’m going to try this in a small amount and who knows?

  • @814radar says:

Same here. I want to try this year

  • @katthefantastic says:

Thanks to you, I’m waking up to fresh sprouts. My seedlings are coming up for my spring garden, all hydro, your ideas!!!! I got with a neighbor who had several ice chests she gets each week due to medication. I took them all off her hands, with a promise to bring her some spinach. Bless you and thank you🫶✊️🌱

Hi Mike, that was a really good promotional video to get people to try hydroponics. It is a easy way to grow and so much fun. I had a 7 acre farm so we grew a traditional garden in the dirt along with cows, goats, pigs. In the winter, I would grow fatter wheat sprouts for my chickens and goats, so they’d have some fresh during the winter. I’ve also grown sprouts for myself. I never really got into it because we had the regular farm. But now we have sold the farm and moved to 3/4 of an acre, going to put in the greenhouse and do hydroponics. I hope people take your encouragement and try just even one tote full of lettuce they’ll get hooked.

Hi Mike I just wanted to thank you for what you do to get all of us on board. I’m in the process of getting my supplies to try this amazing gardening technique. I’m from a long line of farmers but can’t do it myself so I’m trying your method. Thanks again!!! 😊

  • @tisad6130 says:

    Thanks!

  • @ronm6585 says:

    Thanks Mike.

  • @JmenChristpas says:

What I want is a way to make my own nutrients. Until then the loop isnt closed and we are still dépendant on the grid.

    • @drillerdev4624 says:

If you have the space, you can compost and have some traditional pots. A lot of nutrients get lost in the trash can

  • @melodylyons4631 says:

Thank you Sir. You are showing how anyone can do it, easily and much more cheaply than units for sale by manufacturers.

  • @ScullyPop says:

    Cheers, Mike!

  • @rochelle299 says:

I’ve grown 6 different crops now with your methods. Thank you! For teaching us. I love your waterers! I have all of them now. I am so inspired and happy! I love the fact that I don’t need to spend a bunch of money on everything. I look at used containers in a new light!

  • @ausfoodgarden says:

Yes Mike, a great video showing how easy it is for folks to grow a little or a lot of fresh food without needing a big garden.
I prefer growing in soil when I can, but microgreens and a hydroponic tower for larger greens are a part of my growing regime.
I’m in Australia so the nutrients you suggest are not readily available at decent prices but still well worth it.
If you don’t grow, start growing. If you do grow, keep on growing as Mike always says. Great Video. Cheers!

  • @TroyTime02 says:

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! ….. OMG please more like this! THIS IS THE WAY!

That video is so inspiring. We are super motivated to share with the world what we are doing in our little town on the Big Island of Hawaii. We know it can be copied and implemented in any community across the globe. It only takes one person in every community to have the passion and take the initiative…that one person can teach and motivate others to do the same. Here in Hawaii we call our students “Hydro Heros.” When you take our class you pledge to grow for yourself, grow your family and grow your community. Those are OUR HEROS, joining together to solve our islands food insecurity. Who is going to be the next “Hydro Hero” in your neighborhood?

I’m starting my hydro garden this year for these exact reasons. I live in Northern Arizona where water is by delivery only (aka expensive) and the soil is practically unusable without major expense anyway… Hydro is the answer for sure… my only problem now is dealing with the high winds that happen often, and the monsoons as well… Working on putting together some type of structures to protect from both these issues. I’m an old hat with hydroponics… used to own a hydro store about 15 years ago, but haven’t been into it in quite some time so your channel has been very helpful!

I am glad you are resourceful enough to figure things out and continue to grow. Some of us definitely have more challenges than others. With your past experience, you will do great.

  • @jojacobs305 says:

Love your inspirational videos I live on a small plot and after 5.5 year’s ended up not able to work nearly full time and upkeep a .5 acre very fertile mini farm due to poor health so in the not to distant future will be making a big change and using your principles am doing this on a very mini scale at the moment thanks for being part of my change
