Happy Hydroponicing!
Great job! Sending you congratulations from Israel
Amazing content as always!!
Greetings from Spain 🥰
could i use this for strawberries?
Yes
Do not know what you print with but… “PLA can degrade into innocuous lactic acid” (source: Wikpedia – Polylactic acid)
PETG mate
Do you need coco in the central tube? Can’t you just use scoria or clay? You just put everything together and fill from the top (without the strainer part in the top modules)?
Possibly, I’m using the coco to wick back up where the nutrient wants to escape.
With this design release I’m hoping to get feedback.
And if it works let me know. But this is my best approximation of my assumed outcome. It’s quite hard 😂
Thanks for your work!
Thanks to you, I have found my love for plants and hydroponics.
my next goal is a 3D printer to test this design myself.
Happy hydroponics
Many greetings from Germany!
shame u not sell these to UK to non 3d printer peoples like me i defo be interested, well done on your experiment great job
This is phase one my friend.
Hopefully I can develop these ideas enough to spread the working designs to everyone that wants them!
I’m working on it!
@@Hoocho that would be amazing indeed x
It looks great but did you solve the heating problem?
As water falls through the system it picks up heat from the air and causes the reservoir temperature to rise. Im just wondering if you solved that issue?
To be honest I didn’t encounter those in the studio.
But they definitely exist and when I take this system outside. I predict we will experience them.
In my climate especially, but most of USA and anywhere south of me it won’t be a problem.
One thing at I time I guess 😅
@@Hoocho lol, Im in Texas, it would be an issue here as well. 😉
Great content, as usual! Maybe foam filter could solve the media issue. Some of them are really low density. Like pre-filters for submersible pumps. The roots can grow into them, they dont change ph, can’t be flushed down.
Hoocho, I love this system ❤❤❤ . I have limited floor space so mounting on the wall is great😊.
Printed a different version of a hydro tower 2 years ago, still pleased, its still in the kitchen and grows herbs and salad. Perfect. But I chose white Pet-G, looks nice but is a mistake. Light gets in and algae grows. You need light tight filament, otherwise more cleaning, more often changing the water. H2O2 helps but does not remove all algae.
Ok, after watching you for a few years and resisting the purchase of a 3-D printer, you’ve finally convinced me to buy one. I’m interested in your recommendations on the best printer to buy. I have learned so much from you. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Watch the last video 😉
I’m going to make mine freestanding. Thanks, Hoocho. You’re the best.
you say forgive the really bad prints but good lord is that hard to do
can’t wait to try this!
do you recycle the parts you dont use? as in grind them up and what not? and if you can stack the modules you should include some kind of spacers?
PETG is recyclable in the same way as soft drink and soda bottles are.
Mate, love the videos.
Please, for the love of may sanity can you work out the difference between media and medium. I flinch every time time said the wrong word.😊
Can you plant directly into the return pipe as well? easy NFT?
