    🙂

  • @OrganicGreens says:

I gust got a 660 watt light for 150 shipped on sale. Its not a bar style but still a insane deal. Medic grow has 800 and 1000 watt bar style lights for 300-500 depending on the model. They have great build quality and customer service too.

  • @t1mmy13 says:

Well that is nice to hear. Was second guessing my decision to just use ordinary LED strips for my first system but Shane confirms I should just try it at 17:55. Awesome!

    • @herdumderdum1764 says:

Yeah as he says tho red will give a boost to it can get super cheap led boxes now i used to use grow lush but think they don’t exist anymore but can still get there lights cost me 120 aud to get a 600w equivelant led ( used around 150-200w) and had terrific results easily 1-2 grams a watt or havn’t tried them yet but hear terrific results about spider farmer leds they are properly tested and really cheap can get some of theirs lights for under 100 aud and they have some really awesome automatic fan combos

  • @AtollSurfer says:

    aud $0.55kwh in Kiribati

    • @dertythegrower says:

Use ecoFlow solar… diy solar is superior now, and low cost… also led. This is undeniable now.

  • @larnoldskiful says:

    Mitchell ay😂

  • @innocentbystander2673 says:

    Great conversation boys, well done.

  • @FlameMirage says:

    Hoochoo handsome~

  • @MikeParentLeap says:

You’re clouding the issue with truth and facts! 🙄

  • @rscholly says:

Really great to have this insight from Shane. Was so impressed with the previous video that I decided to buy the par meter from his website hooch buckets from yours and have it all shipped to the UAE.

  • @Josh-ye4tx says:

630 de cmh is the best

    • @Josh-ye4tx says:

It would be cool if you tested one

    • @dertythegrower says:

No, 315 solo.. also cmh by philips. I talk lights for 15 years here, before migro.. which is likely the guy at the start lol… yep of course ha.. double cmh is too close, i used them 2016 and it grows the same veg as a 8 bulb t5 which uses 110 more watts… for growth it does add uvb which helps resin (for the plants they were made for hemp etc) the first pioneer is growmau5, who proved samsung lm301b diodes beat hps… its all documented so thats undeniable

    • @dertythegrower says:

the best is led by scynceled, ragingkush2, with a single 315 philips cmh… i study this on a commercial level for 20 years.

  • @Swissindoorgarden says:

I use both style of lights. LEDs have won me over. My plants just do better overall.

  • @sami6393 says:

    LEDs are crap

  • @dertythegrower says:

Shane aka migro has the best advice… and growmau5 who pioneered led lights here before anyone for the herbs… i know the topic well and educate people here 18 years 😅
samsung lm301b diode is what made it 700 watts to replace a hortilux 1000 hps.. i grow commercially so i know the topic years ago 😅

  • @dertythegrower says:

Great collab, Dr. Bruce, MiGro, and growmau5 proved this many moons ago.. and i have bought hundreds of hortilux hps bulbs in my commercial travels coast to coast.. never again.

  • @frankh.3849 says:

I had a buddy (passed away 3 years ago) that made a living for over 30 years growing. He was a master at his craft. He was dead set against LED. I think if he would have got a chance to see the scorpion Diablo v2 he might have changed his mind.

  • @milkybaravenger says:

It’s a no brainier in the EU already phased out t5,t8,cfl, halogen and metal hailed for LED and in two years they are phasing out HPS and the last fluorescents. No point in paying for a light that’s being phased out plus better efficiency and less heat it’s win win.

  • @megaflux7144 says:

    take that luddites!

  • @eyerune4865 says:

As Shane calculated, the more seriously one grows, the cheaper the led will be. But not everybody agrees with Shane – i do! Some are still convinced that hps can grow better flowers for ex, and if they mean by that much less leafy, i’d totally agree. But others would say that the flowers are more compact with led, and that those leaves are also valuable, and they’d be right too!

For what is worth my “best” grow was under hps and a cheap magnetic ballast, it was a giant Zulu plant from Drakensberg, with huge internode, and i never reached smt comparable with led since – i heard that breeders can have the same issue but these are very specific
