It’s great you set it up, but I was expecting to see results at the end. You’ve obviously got editing capabilities. I don’t. Hell you even got a cordless mic.

  • @imlearningtoo74 says:

Light leaks+high water temperature= Pathogens. I’m no expert but I suggest using identical buckets with covers, dark ones and better cup placement to avoid light leakage. Change the solution every 10 days for better test results. Good job still..

  • @tjaakjeh says:

With Kratky it’s important to have air over the water so the plants can grow air roots too. And then it might yield less, but less fuss too!

    • @DMPB-fi2ir says:

actually both need air space even the DWC its not the bubbles in the water that assist its the water movement at surface you can do the same thing with a tiny cpu fan from a computer blowing air over the water surface via a duct in both systems. It’s the fluid motion NOT the bubbles that help, the surface area of the bubbles and the time in contact with water is not going to give a measurable exchange what most. it is the agitation of the surface so in affect a small fane blowing ocer the surface OR and very small water pump moving the water around will do the same as a bubbler. but most importantly the airs space at top is the most critical for roots to access o2 for absorption

Perfect set to cook the plants

    • @tjaakjeh says:

@@peterrolfe528 have you tried Kratky? If there’s too much heat where you live, you should probably provide shade for the containers at the hottest part of the day. I had my containers on a windy roof. No need for shade here.

Hey there .I have some Arrowhead plants with dark stems .Could that be caused by ph levels being to high ? Thanks

  • @Alphasig336 says:

Would be better off to buy a bucket lid. Net cups come in different sizes. Also plants could care less about size of cup. The Roots and stems will work with that they got

If using cool or cold water use a paint mixer on drill to mix the water

  • @KitchenLivinwithShay says:

Were you able to post an update?

  • @nicholasreeves5260 says:

Need to use the same buckets black preferably the white will light leak creating algae.

  • @amospena2046 says:

    Which one was better

  • @ankitagarwal5926 says:

    Results?

  • @danielpinedo8289 says:

I fell into a long rabbit hole on this exact comparison. How did this version work out?

  • @sherwoodlayton9595 says:

I really enjoyed your video, thank you, and keep up the good work.

  • @manaya1976 says:

Hi, love ypur video. Can you use the kratky set up outside in diredt sunlight?I tried my first kratky bucket, but the water turned green after 1 month. I use a white but and sealed lid. I have it outside on direct sunlight.
I kook forward to your advise.
    Thanks
    Mario

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

The water needs to stay dark n cannot be exposed to sunlight. That’s how algae grows(the green). I paint my buckets/ containers black or use thick 5 gallon buckets with dark colors. The bucket I used is white here but it’s thick if I was to put it outside id watch n see for green

    • @manaya1976 says:

Thank you so much. I better start painting. 😁. 🤞 I get a good crop next time around

  • @Deeply_Nicheless says:

    So which version won?

  • @jacobsilken says:

What were the results of this experiment?

  • @youtubetruthlife4750 says:

I love Kratky. Just set it up correctly, then you can forget about it for some months. Then just pick fruits every day. The better you set it up, the more fruits. I usually dont want to waste my precious time on doing plant work, but I might trim the plants once a month just to get better results. I have gotten 4kg tomatoes, 1.4kg peppers, 2kg cucumbers in the first try. It takes minutes to set up and then with some decent lights u will be good. I hope to be able to get the value I spent on lights and tent back from harvesting fruits.

  • @lorae7 says:

    What about the pool
Noodle and being non food grade? Do you think toxins leach into the plant?

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

It’s not food grade idk if they sell something like this in black free etc but it does work so I guess it depends on the person I’d they wanna use that or net cups

  • @GmamaGrowz says:

I’m starting more kratky plants 🤓 I’ve been running DWC and ready for a break, thanks for sharing!

  • @user-yq2il8ed7p says:

what did you put in the net cup with the roots?
