I bring a cooler with cold ones to the pool…I think I need one of those. Had a chemical weed killer accident this summer that cost me some knock out roses. Super bummed.

Looks like you can handle anything that might pop up unexpectedly
We use one of these a lot! You can get away with barely touching them with the flame. A good test to see if it killed the plant is to squeeze the leaf after you hit it. If it leaves a finger print, it will still die despite still being green.
Another tip is to do this when the plants are still seedlings like in December or January.
