As a rule of thumb 20 minutes will often get you about 80% bonding strength, once again Pareto. Obviously follow the instructions on the container. I’m guessing the time ratio is more a human timescale thing so it would lead to product selective pressure due to attention span.

  • @tanglewood_1003 says:

this might sound like a dumb question but im going to ask it anyway
what affect does rain have on this system
obviously rain is going to fill up the bowl but will if effect the nutrients?

    • @jessl1934 says:

It depends on how much rain you get but I don’t see it being a massive problem because the majority of it would evaporate.

The system isn’t going to permit back flow so it’s not going to affect your nutrient solution reservoir. The only risk I can imagine would be heavy rain diluting the nutrient solution so much that it affects the growth of the plants but even then I doubt it would ever get to that point.

    • @tanglewood_1003 says:

      @jessl1934 that answers my question
we normaly use towers to grow or grow inside the greenhouse
greenhouse is ony 4ft by 3ft so limited by size and living in the north west UK we get allot of rain

  • @jessl1934 says:

Carrot seedlings are notoriously fickle because the taproots are very delicate. Starting from seed is definitely the way to go in the future.

You should get your hands on some potato onion bulbs if you can source some. Having a perennial, self-dividing onion in this sort of system would make for an ideal set-it-and-forget-it growing setup.

    The beard looks good mate๐Ÿ‘Œ
All the Bunnings seedlings need separation before planting but that was an awesome grow.
Great idea with them big pots๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ

๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’šas usual mate. Love your vids. edit: still got 120 metres of n.f.t. channels from years ago, doing lettice. Very handy to make these small systems, especially in a tier system.

  • @kyleemmerich2460 says:

Man, I wish we could get that style of downspout in the US. They list it on the Loweโ€™s website but wonโ€™t have it in stock anywhere. So rude.

  • @trishapomeroy9251 says:

I think straight sided containers would give more room for root crops. I love this idea!
