Nice! If you have recommendations/reviews for stand-alone LED lights, I’d watch that for sure.

  • @Poindogindustries says:

After paying $4 for some wilted dill yesterday I realized I want to start growing my own food, but I have a condo. Saw this on Amazon so thanks for the review!! Added to cart and subscribed!

  • @trishmartin1280 says:

how often do you add the liquid feed ?

    • @MoondogReviews says:

The instructions say whenever you start to see yellowing of leaves. I’ve been adding every 3 weeks.

    • @trishmartin1280 says:

@@MoondogReviews Thank you so much!!!!! I am having a blast with mine! Even moved some extra ones to my fishtank. I have no clue how often to dump the whole reservoir out. It says be careful the roots do not get entangled with the motor but why did they not design it so there was a screen in front of the pump ya know.

  • @LolaGenie says:

    Such a beautiful video 🥰 I can’t wait to start mine. I have 2 of them 🥰❤️

    • @MoondogReviews says:

Have fun! My tomato plants have been growing like crazy tall. I had to prune them because they were over my head. Still no fruit yet though.

    • @LolaGenie says:

@@MoondogReviews Hi Dear! What about now?? Any fruit??

    • @MoondogReviews says:

@@LolaGenie No, that’s the frustrating part. They’ve grown into big plants so tall that’ I’ve had to prune them when they got over 3ft tall. But no fruit.

  • @lili2u405 says:

Nice video! I’ll have to wait to plant, because it’s too cool in my home to germinate right now. Saving your video to watch again later. Thanks!

    • @MoondogReviews says:

As long as it’s room temperature where you set this up, it should be warm enough for seeds to germinate regardless of the season outdoors.

  • @mikedownsmysteries746 says:

My parsley is falling over. It’s about 3″ tall and is just lying on the top of the unit. What can I do?

    • @MoondogReviews says:

They included these green plastic rods in my kit. They go into the little holes next to the planter/cone holes. You use these rods as stakes. I staked up the cilantro and tomato plants to these rods and they’ve been growing well past the max height of the lamp.

  • @mikedownsmysteries746 says:

Second question – how often should you fertilize and/or change the water?

    • @MoondogReviews says:

I add fertilizer ever 3-4 weeks. I haven’t experienced a yellowing of the leaves that indicate they aren’t getting enough water. I also add more water every 2 weeks or so. It’s winter so its very cold in my garage so perhaps that’s why the plants haven’t been sucking up more water in my case?

  • @mets2145 says:

My dill plants are tilted over big time, with one of them touching the ground a tiny bit. Any idea why? My two theories were 1) they are at the sides of the gardencube so maybe they are growing too much towards the center where the light is or 2) I have it near the window, so maybe they are growing towards the actual sun. My two basil plants in the middle are growing straight up for now. It also seems too early to be able to stake them up. Thanks!

    • @MoondogReviews says:

Are your dill tied to the plastic stakes?

    • @mets2145 says:

@@MoondogReviews Not yet. I thought it might be too early at just two weeks/wanted to keep the light lower. Wasn’t sure if that was normal for them to be falling over without the stakes.

  • @SaritaLovesLiving says:

I realize your Garden Cube does not come with the circular labels you can use to cover the top of the pod baskets. These are needed to help prevent algae from developing on the grow sponges. The mixture of water , light and plant nutrients is a breeding ground for algae so using the labels would help prevent the light from coming into the water.

    Hello,
I received one as a gift for x-mas.
Now I can start mine after seeing your video thank you for sharing🌱🌱🌱🌱

  • @MADDLION247 says:

Question….. Can you detach the light? I want to use the cube with a Different light I have in my grow tent.

  • @Yedolf says:

    Great video 👍

  • @a.p.2356 says:

Do you know how to reset the lighting schedule? I have one of these, but the light doesn’t stay on for 16 hours; if I turn it on before I go to work, the light will be off when I return home. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong: the instructions don’t go into much detail about the light timer.

  • @kriskomesu5420 says:

Thank you so much for this video! Sorry, when do you add the fertilizer included? I unfortunately planted multiple kinds, I’m on day 3 and the dill has started to sprout but I’m not sure how the fertilizing works and how long to leave the little lids on. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

    • @MoondogReviews says:

I put in the fertilizer about every 3-4 weeks when I start to see yellowish new leaves vs bright green new leaves. Take the lids out when the little starting leaves start touching the domes.

  • @bhtaylor4337 says:

    What are the rods for?

    • @MoondogIndustries says:

They’re support stakes. As the plants grow, they don’t have soil to support them and they often start to tip over, so you should tape them to the stakes.

  • @bulkedupart says:

bruh the dea clip lmaooooo…. nice one

  • @lorrainehopkin9740 says:

How much of fertilizer packets A and B do I add to the 100 ml bottles A & B

  • @rochellesaldana7976 says:

How do you change the water? Where do you put the plants

    • @MoondogReviews says:

I just poured and added more when it got about 1/3 of the way down from the top. I eventually planted them in a flower bed and hoped it would bear fruit. One did. But just 1 tomato. It’s too cold here in SF for tomatoes. Hope you subscribed.

Great info and video, but why is everything so close up?

  • @jaderomo2494 says:

Question! Do you keep the light on all day everyday ?
