I always think of it as biomass. Can’t grow 10 lbs of plants without 10lbs of plant food. And leaf/veg : fruit ratios. Microgreens need to eat too!
Would marbles work as a medium or does in need to be semipermeable like the clay pebbles?
I haven’t tried them so I can’t say no but most of the grow mediums are porous, they retain water.
Good to know. I was keeping my peas slightly moist! I’ll try again.
I give the bottom clippings and roots to my chickens.
Surely you can use the bottom section for pea soup
I was trying to grow microgreen. It was stunted in the kitchen window but as soon as I brought it out to the front balcony it shot up to a feet tall.
I can harvest pea shoots 3 times on a compost shallow dish. Spray everyday. It can grow real tall. No woody stem
Large size seeds have plant food stored in the seed for the baby plant to give it a good start. Small seeds do not. My well water is like rain water and has nothing in it. I need to add some plant food or good soil or my plants die.
Water softener or hard water?
How much is in the little bag? 1/4 or 1/2 cup?
about 2.6oz.

Thank you Mike.
Do you have a link for the square plastic containers you’ve been showing lately?
Yes, in the description. Self watering adapters
Have to say that stainless shelf from Lowe’s is quite amazing, really strong can hold several hundred pounds of stuff I have 3 of them that are a few years old very worth it imo 🤙🏽
Just a tip, grocery store dried peas, they sprout too. Thats VERY cheap. I like the yellow ones. 😎
How about a Zero plants to Full Rack Challenge? Gotta hold our hand though, keep us accountable.
