Hii, im new to this hydroponic and interested to try. you really made it looks doable πŸ™‚ may I ask what did u use for the decoration (like cotton / rocks) at the end of the video? thanks!

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

      Hi there !
Besides the system you need to get net cups , rockwool ( to germinate the seeds ) ,clay pebbles to make the seedlings stand inside that cup and cover the roots from the light .
Check this video you may like the system design , any question please comment I will answer . thnx

Ooof, this stuff is way harder than it looks. Careful so the clay pebbels don’t get in the water, cause then the pH goes high n everything turns yellow (using perlite instead is recomendable). Also it is worth mentioning that the pipes get insanely heavy when filled with water, and the water needs to be a certain hight for tiny new things to reach it with their roots. There also need to be a certain angle on the pipes, so the water doesn’t build up too much and the shelves (or whatever you use) crash down and break, and I’m not certain about this angle yet, but using PVC to hold up the pipes looks really risky and unstable (especially on only 4 legs like that). Also if you are doing this in an area were you don’t wanna spill water, it is worth concidering that the “bucket” needs to be able to hold considerably more amounts of water in order to at some point drain the pipes. The “bucket” should also be covered so no light comes through to the water, as this would cause algeas to grow in it. Having a way to drain the “bucket” easily, might also prove to be handy.

Why is it not possible to do it nice and correctly?

  • Ethan Espique says:

Nice vid sir! Gaano po kalaki yung mga butas sa taas nung 4 inch pipes, and yung mga butas sa cap (gilid) nung 4 inch pipes?

  • Jordan Gramer says:

What kind of pvc are you using? Im getting a lot of mixed information online about some types leaking toxic microplastics and other chemicals into water streams over time. Some seem to be safe, some aren’t. Where are you buying yours? Thanks for the vid!

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

      Hi there !
Use UPVC pipes (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride)
I buy from the local hardware store.

  • hanzik says:

what’s the size of the hole? It seems your drill bit was diy’ed. Care to share? I’ll build one for my wife. Very straightforward and very helpful. Thanks! More subs to come!

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

The hole size is 55 mm , you can check my other videos , got other designs you may like . thank you.

  • Akshat Mathur says:

Impressive video. Please mention all of the tools also required for this DIY setup.

  • Beverly Bauer says:

I would drill holes first then seal ends. Easier to clean out plastic pieces

  • Jillian Andersen says:

So I am new to all these cool ideas and I am curious what the clear things were called that you put the seedlings in?

  • petr dujka says:

  • Ice Xiao says:

I’m new to this, but do you just let the root to be soaked in water 24/7? Or do you actually only turn on the pipe once in a while to wet the roots?

  • Denise M Summersett says:

would have been nice for you to indicate what he brown balls in the grow cups with plants are.. and their use. Also, is it plain water or does the water have nutrients added? thanks for the video on the stand and pipes!

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

The brown balls is a clay pebbles , you can use lava rock or Hydroponic sponge , it’s a grow media to support the plants and provide Darkness to the roots , yes you need to add Hydroponic liquid fertilizer to the water .
Hydroponic is simple just provide the required nutrition and oxygen in the water .

    • MrCarmelo1959 says:

Yes the brown balls or sponges??

  • raji Ch says:

Wow simply amazing….yesterday I visited hydroponics farming near to my place and instantly I fell in love with this hydroponics. ..And I have started searching for diy setup, and I got it in this video..

Thanks a lot for sharing …

    How does nutrient intake work?

  • GuitarUniverse2013 says:

At one minute 51 seconds: wouldn’t it be easier to drill the hole in the top and attach the aperture first, and then glue the Whole assemblage on the top of the PVC pipe?

  • AKM Hai says:

Do you sell those materials to set-up Aquaphonic system

  • Mackenzie Gier says:

I believe you can even cut pool noodles into pucks and use those to hold the plants… I’ve never tried that, but it’s on my list lol

  • mio says:

Hello, what is the overall measurement of the system?

  • origamidad1 says:

would it not be better to leave one end open to get out the cuttings from holes first, then seal both ends
