Hey mate, do you get that extruded foam you used in the kid pool beginners build from Bunnings? I’ve been looking around and I’m not sure I’m looking at the right stuff.
Cheers
Yeah, but they’ve stopped selling it for some reason.

Hi. I think that your plants grows more leaves than fruits or legumes. why ?
When a plant have always water it feel that there is no need to produce fruits. But when a plant is stressed some times and feel a need to water it start produicing fruits.
Haha loved that almost mad scientist laugh at 10:44! LOL
Do you think blockages could arise with the smaller bag sizes in the system due to roots exploring quicker
💣💥
Why does everything I put in a jiffy pellet die
Such a neat system. With hydroponics your root space can be reduced by a lot.
Love the music selections!
Do you prune your peppers?
Awesome cappy.i have a question mate I’m in the tropics.would the solution dilute Too much in the wet season.or should I use clear plastic over my greenhouse?
I’ve never had problems with rain. Depends on the system.
But if you calculated the area of the open top and then times that by the amount of rain you’ll get an understanding of how little it effects the system.
Rain has always been a good replacement for water transpired in my opinion.
For example. If you get 1ml of rain for every 1m square. That’s only a litre of water.
You probable won’t have a meter of open top.
@Hoocho thanks brother.
Could you add a yield of fruit difference at end of season? It would be helpful in seeing the effect of bag size
I harvested a bucket of bell peppers from 24 plants in nft this year. Grew awesome but was crazy how shallow the root system of the peppers is. Had root rotting as soon as they hit the water but they grew fine. Was thinking of trying a different method like this wicking system or bato buckets to have more media/air for them to make roots. Your roots look a lot healthier then mine did.
Question, so when the plant dies in the end can you recycle the media ? do you need to clean it somehow or how does that work ?
Hey Hoocho , i was wondering what was you final take on whether nft for tomatoes would be recommended? Did you find root blockage?
