  • Mega LUL says:

Nice Video, thanks. One questions, what do you need the air pump for? Why the bubbles?

    • Mega LUL says:

Just watched a video that explained it to me. Turns out that aeroation is much better than Kratky. ๐Ÿ˜€

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

      Hi there . Thanks
Plants need oxygen, if we do not provide oxygen, the roots will rot.

    • Mega LUL says:

@DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI thank you ๐Ÿ‘Œ

    • Emeraldwitch30 says:

@Mega LUL well I use both. Its just with kratky, if you over fill it drowns the air roots. And I have done that before.๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ
But I didn’t notice a huge difference between the kratky and deep water culture with the bubbler. Both plants did well.
But my cucumbers lasted all summer in the kratkys out in the greenhouse but I have no electric out there (hubs is going to run underground cable this summer for me)
I also grew in the ground. But the cucumbers in hydroponics out preformed them. Like 75% better with hydroponics.
I will not plant them in the ground again.

    • C B says:

@Emeraldwitch30 drill some holes into the side of your bucket or container at the fill line so it’s impossible to overfill

  • Syafiqah Syahira says:

Hi, I have question regarding the concentration of the nutrient of the cucumbers.

Do we need to always monitoring the concentration of the nutrient? and usually how frequently does we need to adding some amount of nutrient again?

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

yes you need to check at least once a week your EC Lev especially when the plants fruiting , normally the EC won’t drop the plants consume the water ..so you need to add the water+ nutrition , I have added 3 to 4 times.

  • Anders Pettersson says:

Nice growth! At what point did you change from normal water to hydroponics solution during first stage?

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

      Hi there!
Before I transferred the seedlings to Hydroponics , I started giving solutions EC 0.5 Ms/cm. When you see the first true leaves .

  • elderizm says:

Awesome setup. Did you add anything else in water? Some people use a and b solution.

  • Dale Peyton says:

I would like to know what kind of cucumber did you use.
I just found your channel and I love it.
    You have a Blessed Day

  • Kyle Peer says:

Thank you for the wonderful video.

  • 808Flyer says:

Great video – thanks for sharing. Have you tried growing cucumbers with your top drip bucket recirculating method? Your tomato plants look amazing with that method. I would be interested to find out if that would work for cucumbers. Also, where do you purchase your buckets with lids for cups? Mahalo and Aloha.

  • happy life (God is life) says:

Do we need to water the plants or we will just wait until the plants grow? Sorry beginner hereโค๏ธ

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

hello we don’t have to water the plants ,
we provide water and nutrients plus oxygen to the plants to grow in thr water .
we need to change the water every 2 weeks .

    • happy life (God is life) says:

@DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI thank you so much, your video is very informative, more power to you

  • Ramoutar Rsn says:

    Nice Video
How many cucumbers per plant did you harvest?

  • poeT says:

Nice video i love it! There is one thing which bothers me tho… Why wont you make 9 holes? You have a lot of water boosted with some stuff isnt it kinda waste? Or roots cant touch each other? Plants shade each other too much? Anyways thank you! <3Cheers!

  • Jujubees711 says:

    Wonderful
video! Thanks for showing us the process. Well done!
    Nice music too!

  • Michael Masztal says:

Good video. I use a similar DWC setu-up, but with only one plant. The Picolino is a vining cucumber plant with all female flowers. I hand pollenate with an electric toothbrush. the fruit are a uniform, thin0skinn, 6″ long, 1″ thick. I typically get 30-50 cukes off one plant- really. Gotta keep an eye on the pH and PPM with R/O water and nute (Masterbend combo) changes every 2 weeks.

  • ToomieC says:

This 11 min video showed me everything my bf and I have done wrong the last 2 months with our hydroponic cucumbers. And not a word was spoken. Outstanding video thank you for making this!

  • Sergi 'o says:

I’m wondering if the aerator is necessary: Since the roots aren’t completely submerged in water, they should get oxygen from the air. Or is the aerator simply to circulate the nutrient (in which case, it can just be a water pump)?

  • Sharon Caron says:

Hello. Im very new to hydroponics. I have a 12 pod Idoo system. I successfully grew some lettuce. I planted broccoli, but it grew too tall for my system, as it grew beyond the lights (which were raised to its max 11″). Is there a way to grow broccoli in such a system with the lights at a max of 11″? Also, I wanted to grow cucumbers, but based on your video, it seems like the cucumbers would need as much space as the broccoli. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Life is ahead says:

    Very informative video

  • L.Roy says:

Great video. I think that the nursery transplant can be avoided. The seeds in rock-wool would be very happy to start their life in your hydroponic system.

  • arokkia durairaj says:

Do we use plain water at seedling stage before transferring to Hydroponic?

    • DIY & GARDEN WITH BIBI says:

you can start to fertilize before transferring the seedlings, when you see the true leaves appear.

  • Michel Villarante says:
