Looking great, I will be looking forward to see what will you grow in this 😉

  • Star Ali Mistriel says:

SWEET set up! This is something I am going to try in my classroom while I teach my students about indoor cultivation. I might also add shelving racks and fit extra lighting to test out as well. So maybe have 2 stealth closets side by side as experimental stations. Getting excited here!

    • Hoocho says:

I’m excited to see what you come up with. If its no trouble could you post it to the hoocho subreddit which can be found in the descriptions to my videos…
      Very keen to see it!

    • Damien says:

Your students are so lucky I’m trying build my own little grow area at moment.

    • SuperGreenLab says:

that’s awesome!! what lighting are you considering?

    • Ellis Roper says:

Hahaha ayy teaching your students how to grow the buds aye fuarkk wish you were my teacher

  • Darren Hoehne says:

Love your work bro! Found you through wanting to brew beer, now, I’m keen to grow my own veggies!

Also a Qlder in Brisvegas! Great work bro!

  • Alan Hunold says:

I don’t know how I missed this video. I love this idea, I was considering building my own grow room with some ply but this may be easier and cheaper 🙂

Would love to see some more indoor hydroponics stuff

  • Andrew Watkinson says:

Thats mint mate👍🍺. Made mine out of a 72″ Tv card board box, has the reflective foil that packaged the tv too and a diy carbon filter with pc fans🤣

  • ManoChannelTuNelysk says:

I will not argue about the white color walls but I will just leave this out here so you can see the actual measured differences between reflective materials mostly used in growing. Simply speaking, white is the best color for reflection because it reflects all parts of the spectrum, any other actual color would be bad since it would only be reflecting a part of the spectrum or in the case of black – barely any reflection. But you can get better than simply white. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ-Hg_L011k&ab_channel=MIGRO

  • Steven Wong says:

It might be worth considering whether the size of the room the wardrobe is in, and whether the room has windows, makes it worthwhile installing an extraction setup. I wonder if a simple circulating fan would suffice in such case?

  • Mike B says:

I was planning on doing something like this in my garage with two old wardrobes I got for free. Great to see someone had a similar idea

  • ODFD says:

care for the light leaks – if plants are flowering then you might stress them out if they get light through those vent holes during their night hours

  • Sir.Shmugly l says:

An inner light reflective over lapping the inner walls might prevent light bleed. How warm does the light ballest get? I would mount the ballest behind the cabinet on the the out side. Might give you more grow space, or upper area me ght have enough space for a small carbon filter and in line vent fan.

  • namor357 says:

Great stuff. I have a two door wardrobe with a rail at the top. Space is roughly the same size. I have a 300w full spectrum bulb hanging from the rail, a grow bag tray, which I water and three one gallon grow bags with a compost, coco bark and perlite mix, ready to transplant my three young ladies. Oh yes, small desk fan to keep air circulating. That’s it. Everything was scavenged from around the house and garden. Only thing that I bought was the 300w led full spectrum bulb for £25. No filter, nothing complex, just a very low cost setup. Oh yes, I also splashed out on hard white plastic reflective sheets which I’ve stuck to the inside area because it’s brown wood.

Anything simpler than that? Yes, plant your beans in the garden when it gets warmer and sunnier.

  • Duane Andrew Black says:

That’s was great! I would probably find something at the goodwill store vs buying a new piece. But that works. I’m actually considering doing something maybe half the size. Good job 👍🏽

  • Ghost Hxer says:

Not a huge fan of hydro but this almost convinces me to consider it. Great idea. I would definitely insulate the whole thing on the inside with insulation board or insulation tape and put some gaskets on all the exposing cracks. If you use the bottom drawer to use to remove the whole plant, it would make cleaning very easy and you could fit a humidifier in there. I argue against that light. Led full spectrum is where it’s at bro. Vivosun sells small fans and awesome carbon filters that you connect to it. Definitely gonna make a video next year or this winter after I shop around WalMart sometimes. Too much going on right now but when I do, I will be mentioning you. I haven’t seen anyone make one of these even though it is the most simple ways to get away with a grow room in your apartment

  • Lindsay Trevino says:

This was such a great video. I’ve been going back and forth on building my own cabinet or buying a grow tent from Amazon. I like the custom route a little more. What are your thoughts on this type of cabinet being in a garage in a state where the heat can get up to 100 degrees.. ? The garage is the most ideal spot, but I’m worried about how hot it could get and regulating the temperature.

    • egal egal says:

a garage is not an ideal place
      A basement is ideal
if you can not influence the climate the place is probably not suitable
Unless you want to cool with air conditioning and have to heat at night

    • Lindsay Trevino says:

@egal egal I live in South Texas, we don’t have basements. I installed two fans to help with air flow and have a thermostat to keep an eye in temp. Works great! Had my first bloom a week ago.

    • egal egal says:

      @Lindsay Trevino south texas
perfect conditions for mold in bloom hot and humid
Pay attention to the humidity and I hope your cabinet is light tight so that the plants do not get any disturbing light in the night phase.

  • urbanrat84 says:

Oooh I love this! I have less technical indoor plant displays I put together out of glass display cabinets, with 3W Cree LED aquarium lights from a past hobby. I put them on a plug in timer so they turn off at night, you can get them as cheaply as $6

  • Eero Tarik says:

Years ago I grew a cucumber plant in the middle of a Tasmanian winter, in a cupboard like that, with just a desk lamp for warmth and light. It grew, flowered and fruited. And, amazingly, it attracted aphids! 🙂

  • RT says:

Awesome job man! Planning to do something similar with a metal storage cabinet. Only suggestion I have is putting the vents on the back of the wardrobe/cabinet so they face the wall. The vents kind of give it away but they wouldn’t be seen on the back. Just need a piece of ducting going 90 degrees to the back. Thanks for the video and ideas!

  • Dave Riitano says:

Got motivated from this video to make my first grow with Ebb and Flow; height became an issue as the closet was only 4 feet usable, but removed the top shelve and have an amazing plant growing. Thanks for all your sharing, the good and the bad!! I cant see where to upload a photo, but i am a couple to 3 weeks from final flush and the biggest bud is 10″ ‘s and there is about 15 buds at least, not bad for a 3′ by 2’ cabinet

  • MarneyBanana says:

Mate, loved this, I tried something similar when I was about 16 but with the wrong light- a 100w house hold light bulb!! Should have seen how much the plant stretched…lols. Anyways to fix the light leak, two options, a square of shade cloth om each side of the vent (so two for each vent) def helps alot, or better option is you add a small box over the vent hole and cut the vent hole out of the bottom of the box and put the vent there, paint inside of box black too- and you can direct any light down or to the back wall if you prefer. otherwise ive seen ducting used to cover the vent hole and then have a vent over the end near the floor. But its a great way to have some fun at home in a small space, just dont use any light other than a LED or you will likely start a fire. I got close FYI with an Incandesant bulb.

This was the first time I watched BIG DOG! It is still a classic. Luckily my land lord does not care if I have a 2×2 grow room in a spare room. It’s still a fantastic video
