Help is Here #hydroponics #garden #mrduzee1

This Video is from the Youtube channel:ย “Keep on Growin’ with Mike VanDuzee”.ย

Everyone should grow some of their own food, but gardening can be hard. So I've been looking for easier ways to help more people. Like using these inexpensive jars from the Dollar Tree. And using these biodegradable bags. They can just go in your garden. And I just hold them on with simple twine.

And with this type of hydroponics, set up is a breeze. And it takes little care.

Anyone can do this. In today's world, where we depend on someone else for a lot of things, it feels good to provide for yourself. Keep on growing.

Have you tried growing leeks hydroponically? They’re kind of expensive, and a PAIN to clean (dirt in between all the leaves), so it would be great if I could grow my own this way. โค

Great idea! Just found your channel, Iโ€™ll watch some more of your content to learn. Thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒป๐Ÿงก

    Is this just tap water?
Do you add anything to the water?
How do we keep the water clean, or how often does the water need changing?

  • @spdbabe69 says:

Where do you get the biodegradable bags?

    • @KeepOnGrowin says:

      On Amazon. Holy Scraps.

I’ve been using the bio bags for years instead of ziploc and garbage bags. I also put all of my cooking scraps in them until it’s full enough to take outside and throw it in my compost barrel.
My problem with hydo is that I don’t have easy access to the water spigot.
Although I use the dollar store candle Jars to root the celery and herbs. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒฟ

The container and the nutrients is the easy part.
The lighting for indoor garden is the other part they don’t explain.

    • @KeepOnGrowin says:

These were all grown outdoors. I grew indoors throughout the winter, showed my set up several times and even gave away several sets of lights so you obviously must be talking about someone else when you say “they”. You’re welcome.

Do you keep the roots wet the whole time? Or do the roots need to cycle in and out of the nutrients?
