Congrats Hoocho, you just made a DIY autopot

  • @601flyer5 says:

i watch your videos because you share the links!

  • @Raz0rking says:

I might use this for my greenhouse. Thanks for the idea

  • @1aapmens says:

I’ve got a few of those float valves laying around, no worries about the links. This will be perfect for fruit trees in pots that I move between the greenhouse and outside.

  • @klotherz says:

Oh man I’ve just been binging your videos and you go ahead and post a brand new one! Legend!

  • @Toni_Erdmann says:

Love the back to basics and the simplicity of this idea.

  • @GeneHellums says:

I just went to search your videos for just this thing and couldn’t believe you had just dropped the video! Great timing!

  • @rw-xf4cb says:

You could 3D print the float valve

  • @DangerZone-w6y says:

    Nice job.

  • @owencooper1360 says:

Do you not have mosquitoes breeding in the tray water?

  • @AmsNl2BcnEs says:

What about mosquitos and other bugs that lay eggs in open still water?

  • @bensbotanicalbedroom says:

My Alocasia micholitziana ‘Green Velvet’ has absolutely exploded since I’ve had it in semi-hydro. The inconsistent moisture of soil seems to have been holding it back. No surprise that these Colocasias are loving this way of growing. The whole subfamily really seems to thrive on consistency with water.

Hooch big fan of the channel, watch everything that comes out. Look up a system called “hydrostacker” from the usa, if you could make a model of the hooch bucket that can stack this way it would be sweet. It saves alot of space for plants which dont need all the extra room around them. Ive grown in the hydrostackers and they work great, i had it setup as a drain to waste system. I would love to see a hooch bucket made for this purpose or a retrofit so we can turn them into towers. I know you can stack them with metal poles through the sides but means you have to leave alot of space between each bucket since the plant grows up towards the bottom of the other bucket.
