That’s neat. I like it!
Good to see your homestead update man!
You are going to create a new little seasonal stream
you’re still crushing it ❤
Cool, you got instructions?
I know it’s gonna cost $$$ but, over all might save on water bill & installation .
I’d love to see cost. ❤
Have a tank in the attic in unused space, and gravity feed water down.
This is really cool!
If you’re in the Pacific Northwest, lot of times in certain parts of the mountains, there’s a lot of moisture coming up over the mountains, but not a lot of rain. There’s a similar condition in Peru, and they’ve started using fog nets.
I’ve been thinking about something similar in Upstate New York. We usually have a lot of humidity in the air even When there’s drought.
I have a design on paper of a solar thermal airwell. Basically the idea is to bury a pipe underground for several yards. On one side there’s an inlet with vents to force wind down into the pipe. On the other side there’s a collection barrel. On top of that is a parge boack plastic pipe with inlets that use wind to pull air out of the pipe. That way it uses both wind and solar thermal to pull air through without electricity, it uses the temperature differential to take the air from outside ambient temperature, between 70 and 90° f, down to ground temperature of 50°, much closer to the dew point.
It could be enhanced with refrigeration, but this is probably the simplest version.
cooool..
Yes dude! Can you Please do a video of the pump that fills the pressure tank. How it’s hooked up, show it working etc. Thank you!!!
Oh yes, please do that sir!
I agree. I understand your set up. But I would love to see the entire set up, from your pvc, to habd pump, to pressure tank. How u installed it, exactly how it works. Wife has been asking me to do a backup setup for our farm here in tennessee. Have look at some hand pumps and they can be over a thousand dollars. I won’t buy cheap. Would love more info. Is that pressure tank tied to an existing well or stand alone? Do you have to pressurize it, or does pumping water into it make it get pressure? So many questions
@ Agreed! I’d love to replicate that system. I just invested a good chunk of change to properly collect my rain water and kinda lost on how to run it into the house. The guidance would be a life saver
Quite a nice home you are building. 🫥
Always look forward to your update videos so inspiring!❤
Been awhile ! Still no snow on the hill!
Nice job Curt!
Why don’t you put overflow to greenhouses to water inside them
I can pump this water to the greenhouses or wherever I want.
Have you had the water tested? I wouldn’t want to use it for anything but flushing the toilets without filtering it also. I CERTAINLY would NOT want to use it for drinking, cooking, washing produce or bathing without the organic chemicals from all the geoengineering being removed first.
Curtis your the most practical prepped prepper I’ve ever seen. So question is wheres your real bunker?
Aren’t bunkers meant for war fighters? (Your query does not apply here, for I believe our bro is in Canada. 😏
Excellent
no way the ordinary person could tackle this level of homesteading. Not having a go, but if you’re watched him for the last few years, you know what’s going on. His principles can be applied to your situation for sure, but I STRESS to start small and very small. DO NOT think this homestead is the norm or what you need.
