Beautiful Bird Flew Into Our Window (Striated Pardalote)

This Video is from the Youtube channel: “Rob Bob’s Aquaponics & Backyard Farm”.Β

Another beautiful bird hit our kitchen window. I think it's time to invest in window stickers. πŸ€”
This one is a Striated Pardalote but we've also had Welcome swallows, Grey fantails and Kingfishers do the same.
A common bird found almost Australia wide that feeds on small insects.

Your windows need some sticker on so they don’t get territorial and attack their reflections

  • @Kearnesy says:

    Stop cleaning the windows πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  • @readysetsleep says:

They sell a film that you can apply to stop the birds flying into the windows.

I just had a baby bird swimming in my rain bucket. Luckily he just needed a good half hour rest and flew away.

Are you sure it’s gone and not just knocked out? πŸ˜… Maybe leave the bin cracked open for a night just in case? πŸ˜‚

  • @prubroughton1864 says:

You can get a transparent hologram to stick on the window to show the birds they can fly through. My daughter has one

  • @792slayer says:

My grandma here in the states used to hang prisms from suction cups on the inside of the window. We called them rainbow catchers as kids, because of the refraction. They also kept bird strikes down.

  • @shellebelle53 says:

We have that happen quite a lot too. Sad but unavoidable sometimes.
