I was a very big fan of aquaponics 5 to 6 years ago but not anymore. I now consider the hydroponic part of aquaponic as nitrate farming. The plants will have nitrate content which smart people will market as high protein content (Dr. Christine Jones said in Australia they call it “funny protein”). The aquaculture part of it also does not produce nutrient rich fish. If the fish is not eating its natural food of zooplankton and phytoplankton it will not have have high quality protein and lipid content its body. Nature is very clear about how it works and how it will continue to work. Our so called technology will have negative consequenses for mankind if is designed to outsmart nature.

    • Vintage Seller says:

I agree with you. Yet the availability of 100% chemical free food is exciting. Lets remember hydroponics has chemicals too.

      पेट भरणे के लिये कुछ मिले

    • Naseem Md says:

I was actually searching for these kind of comments. Problem with the media is it is just posting the news but not the internal truth. The truth is Aquaponic is not economical and so called not healthy and nutritious

  • DILLIP PANDA says:

Am a small tym farmer & I appreciate the gentleman for this big investment, possibility of return may be due to near metropolitan market , but I doubt ,may be am ignorant, Thnx the entire team for a grt episode, All d bst Mayank..🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🙏🙏🙏

  • Dream Chaser says:

What an awesome video! Very informative and very very well made. You yourself know farming like the back of your hand so the questions were sooo apt and technically perfect. Very impressed. But you did not give Mayank’s number for those who would want his guidance. How will they get in touch with him? 🙂🙂

  • shetkari suhas patil says:

Very intresting farming by Mr. Mayank Gupta, being IIT Engr, he has taken Initative in developing the Aquaphonic Farming. I wish him all the success in his Enteprises. Best regards. Suhas D. Patil. Mumbai

  • Prakhar Dixit says:

He is the real engineer. Doing something creative and innovative.hats off to this guy.

  • arvind kumar sharma says:

This what expected from IIT graduates ,, finally giving back to the country. I hate those, who totally go for off careers, it’s their choice, but more is expected from them

  • FIROJ KHAN says:

Interviewer is good . He asks very informative questions rather asking sir aapki journey kaisi rahi 😂

  • Mr. NoBody says:

Its an amazing feeling to see such young Indian entrepreneurs doing great job for community and country.

  • Jagdish Joshi says:

Great conversation between interviewer and interviewee. It may literally helps many more people around the world. A perfect example of doing farming.
    A grandiose initiative.👏

  • Ezaz Ahmed says:

What a resourceful and knowledgeable man he is..We need more & more intelligent farmers like him all over India to replicate these in pan India. Highly impressed by his knowledge & dedication🙏

  • Ankit Gupta says:

Really loved this video.. keep producing more content like this.

I believe that most of our farmers should adopt this method and also make profit by selling their crop directly to customer and improve their living economically because our farmers never gets fair price of their crop and hard work which they deserve.
    Jai kisan Jai Jawan. ❤️❤️

  • Deepesh Sao says:

These guys are our real heroes. 🙏👍 I am so very impressed and wish all the very best and my heartiest congratulations !! So overwhelmed. Truly hope our system not only just supports but also encourages such initiatives.

  • rajpremnath says:

Unbelievable success story of a brave and intelligent technocrat. Govt must make this setup the Standard Model of agriculturalists if we really want to change the life of our farmers. 🌹✨🎋🌺

  • rahul mochary says:

He is very talented and appreciate his hard work and really good knowledge with what he is doing in farming but really difficult for our indian farmers as investment of 10 crore or even the smaller aquaponic is very expensive..so it’s very difficult for farmers to start to invest in aquaponic.. but thumpsup to this guy being a farmer👍

  • Jz says:

Awesome video.. both guys have nailed it by this video. The guy is asking sharp and perfect questions and IIT guy answers very much in detail. I live in US (IT Engineer) for last 20 years and own 4 acre farming land in India. Now.. this video is changing my thought process.

  • Ajay Bhardwaj says:

One of the best conversations on such a novel and innovative project. It’s also heartening to see such enthusiasm between educated young men. They can further use solar or wind energy generators to bring down the electricity cost and make the produce even greener!

  • Happy Bee says:

This video is most inspiring and the interviewer also asks questions that I would have asked to learn about this way of farming.. Moreover, I found it very generous of Mayankji to share his contact number so that he can be reached out to by those who require further guidance in this area.. Thanks a lot, sir.. May the Almighty bless you for using your brain for the good of not just yourself but for those around you too…

  • ajeet gorey says:

Excellent and very educational video… mostly I am impressed as it’s done in Maharashtra…Hope you are able to encourage our small farmers and help them to get out of the poverty line situation…and hopefully in this way there will be no farmers committing suicide…God Bless you Always.

  • Explorers says:

What I would like to suggest to everyone is first experiment at a smaller scale and then upscale your project. Small scale experimentation will help you to estimate cost vs profit ratio and necessary changes required to make your project work.
