Aerogarden Review From A Gardener’s Perspective-Aerogarden Harvest Indoor Hydroponic System 2021

Another Video from Youtube.

  • @TheAdhdGardener says:

I know us die hard gardeners would not necessarily go for this but i thought I’d show a great option for those who want to dabble in some low maintenance gardening options or who has a packed busy life😁🌱 ALSO cover the holes from the lights that are not being used. Light exposure to sun/light will grow algae

    • @IcyBird420 says:

I have one coming tomorrow. It’s too hot in Arizona in summer for a lot of plants. This i hope is a great alternative! Sidebar: just found your videos. I like your style dude!

    • @marcuspotenciano7543 says:

@@IcyBird420 from Arizona as well. Which is why I’m looking into this.

    • @IcyBird420 says:

@@marcuspotenciano7543 dude. I bought another one! The key is all about not overcrowding the pods. I accidentally planted a taller tomato plant and it quickly took over the entire bounty unit I had. Transfered it to dirt after 5 months and I thought it was dead. Still going. Any questions I’d be glad to help.

    • @marcuspotenciano7543 says:

@@IcyBird420 definitely looking forward to some cherry tomatoes. Have you tried strawberries by any chance?

    • @IcyBird420 says:

@@marcuspotenciano7543 I have not. I would imagine they would do great. You could probably fit 2 or 3 plants I would imagine. Just make sure to add 3-5 seeds per pod and thin them out after a few weeks/month.

  • @dc3399 says:

I got an aero garden and I love it! I don’t get much sun in my house, and this makes it possible to grow plants and have them thrive. It tells you when to fertilize, which is great because I forget to fertilize my outdoor plants. Thanks for the video and helpful hints.

  • @samljer says:

reuse old pods from the starter kit, you dont even need the grow anything kit.
Just really need the fertilizer, and even that has cheaper options of better quality.
I have even grown a seed in the old pod holder with a cotton ball and rocks, it all works.

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

      Money saving!💯

    • @littlebirdling238 says:

      Thanks.Great idea!

    • @suzannes5888 says:

Which alternate fertilizers do you like best?

    • @rickytanner3 says:

Yea but the roots grow through the pods so how is that reusable.

    • @chrisb__ says:

@@rickytanner3 you’ve got to cut the roots to remove a plant from the plastic cage-holder. This is why folks who use the aerogarden as a seed-starter stress that you should transplant seedlings that haven’t had the time to develop a whole lot of crazy-long roots yet.
If you use the aerogarden to start plants you’re going to transplant, I recommend cutting away as much of the grow-sponge as is possible, the sponge drying out in the soil of a pot can strangle a plant’s roots otherwise.

  • @mynameisnotgirl8184 says:

This was a MUCH better review than a previous one I just saw. It explained everything in great detail and offered helpful tips.

  • @michaelf756 says:

I love the aerogarden, I use mine to grow any random plant I feel like growing because they grow so big and healthy really fast, maybe because of all the oxygen and how easy it is to feed the plants properly. Ive grown peppers, tomatoes, petunias, melons, you name it. I thought ‘water roots’ from growing hydroponically would be a problem, but I’ve put all my plants directly into potting soil after a few weeks when they have big strong root systems and so far not a single plant has failed to thrive in the potting soil after being transplanted

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

Yes the aerogarden is good on oxygen cuz the water is always moving. What I have experimented on was the Kratkey method(hydro but without a 02 bubbler) it worked super well with my lettuce(recently did a vid on that) im moving up to tomatoe, peppers n cabbage now with the kratkey

    • @lakesidehomesteadwithdavea5757 says:

      Yes I love mine!!!

    • @poisonivy618 says:

Yay so happy to hear this I just got one for Mother’s Day

  • @rolandgadue4351 says:

I have been an AeroGarden fan for years and have grown many things in it. I am on the third generation of the AeroGarden and I highly recommend it

  • @Alistairville says:

Remember that you cannot let light get into the base water or you’ll get algae or mold. Roots are not made for light and if mint roots get light on them then they’ll sprout underneath the tray with holes. AG makes caps for the holes you don’t use, but old golf balls are the perfect size instead.

  • @abbynormal3192 says:

I find that basil (genovese, marseille, neapolitan and Thai, especially) and some lettuces grow really well in this, other seeds, not so much. I have had this garden for about 8 months now, and I do like it. It definitely is nice to be able to get a few leaves of fresh basil for a dish and not have to buy a whole bunch at the market that will go bad before you get a chance to use it all. I have found that you can’t grow all 6 pods at once, though. The plants get too crowded and begin to shade each other out or the lettuce grows mold in the center because there is not enough air circulation. Definitely a good kit to have if you are an avid gardener who goes through withdraws in the winter months!

  • @8andimpala says:

Just bought my mom an areogarden because I knew she would love one, but wouldnt ever think to buy one for herself. I had seen the old TV infomercials and knew as long as the light and water pump worked properly, it would be a great product for her. Thanks for the review, it made me feel more comfortable having spent that money! You got yourself a new sunscriber!!!

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

Theyre awesome and convenient for sure. This fall n winter I’m dabbling into other hydro units u can set up yourself🌻

  • @kaydencegrebowiec8580 says:

I loved this review! I’m seriously considering getting one because the science behind it is really cool, so I’m glad you could tell me it really works!

  • @desotodiva says:

I’m a die hard gardener with outdoor vegetable gardens. I LOVE the AeroGarden, in fact I just ordered my FORTH one 😍.

  • @poshpetals6551 says:

I saw the ad two days ago and watched your video today. YOU SHOULD BE SPONSORED!! What a great presentation, I’m sold, as I want to grow all of my food seeing as our FDA is a joke.

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

Aww thanks.. id love to get sponsored cmon aerogarden!😆. Our FDA is a complete joke not to mention the other players, corporations n government but I digress. They hold too much power. Its wise to learn how to be able to handle our own n grow our own food!🌻🌻

  • @user-qj9nl8fn5n says:

I am so ADHD, your review is so perfect for me! I didn’t research it, but asked for it! got this for Christmas & am keeping it per your review! Thank you for being here! If you know, you know

    • @TheAdhdGardener says:

Had to look at from a different perspective. The fact that it reminds me of the water n nutrients sold me😆 I always forget that

  • @myrasabbs5991 says:

I enjoyed your review. Look forward to growing beautiful things and watching more inspiring stories!

  • @Threewisejavi says:

Thanks for the video! I was thinking of getting it as a gift and this review made me feel comfortable that I’m making a good decision!

  • @bigsky445 says:

Great video. Quick tip- block the holes that you aren’t using to prevent light from shining in the water, you’ll get algae bloom in your tank.

  • @twosongs7396 says:

I love your bubbly personality. Thank you for this review.

  • @MyTube4Utoo says:

The AeroGarden Bounty models have lights that extend to 24,” and the Bounty Elite has a 50 watt light, and the Bounty Basic has a 30 watt. That Harvest unit has a 20 watt light.

Most people would probably be surprised at what you can grow in those units.

  • @slimmie85 says:

You’re amazing, girl! I am so glad I came across your video. It was very informative and answered a lot of questions that I had.

  • @zestybrittsta9939 says:

you are so enthusiastic about gardening, it helped me get hyped and feel okay about my first time using my aerogarden 🙂
