Stumpy the goanna stopped by for a quick "G'Day" as well. ๐ฆ๐
Cheers all.

Good catch up. For the hydroponics… firstly, if you don’t want chooks to jump up and eat it, don’t feed the rejects to them right in front of it. ๐ If we feed chooks stuff we grow, I always feed it to them some distance away. Some times you get a canny one who realises where the source is, usually not.
A fix I’d suggest is netting. Rig up some sort of crossbeams on the veranda poles wide enough to let you in there with the system, then drape netting around it (like a shower curtain), with the opening being in the spot you most want to access. Peg it closed there. Then, if you’re like me, do your best not to trip on it each time you wander past.๐
After seeing all that fencing wire going to scrap… I wished I lived closer. Oh the things I’d love to try making with that. Lawn animals for a start. ๐
Lolโฆhad the same thoughts myself๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
i printed that pole for the new starlink myself. it’s a little tricky because of the connectors, but works fine for a few months now.
Have you considered putting some ground eggshells into the sump to be a slow-release calcium suppliment?
Gโday Rob, Bianca and Jack all the best for the New Year better late than never you enjoy Bruther
Many of us bushies have thrown a python in our roof many times over the years.
In my old house out west, every year mid autumn weโd get field mice infestations. A snake will leave once thereโs no food source for it
We have been dealing with winter cold and rain. Got the sick ๐ค thatโs going around over Christmas break. Just now feeling a bit better. Glad to hear you and B had some quiet together time. Cheers
I have a key for a green field, if you want I can mail it to you.
really hope that crazy rob picture isnt done with AI
Hey Rob, Im down near Hervey Bay. Caterpillars and Grasshopers have been very hard to keep in front of this year. And now im fighting rats eating the corn.
on the star link cable, from what i’ve been able to tell, its just a cat6 cable just with a proprietary weather proof end. I’ve read online that a standard Cat6 cable will work, however if you dont use the starlink brand with the weatherproof end, it voids your warranty, i dont know how they would prove it unless you had to send them a pic. I wish they would sale those ends so i could make my own cable to the length i need, but they dont, and the price difference between that and making my own cable isnt enough for me to stress about the warranty over. At least stateside, not sure about where you’re at with different consumer protection laws etc.
I have to pull my Starlink down from the roof to ready for any storms that may have hail (lost my first Gen 2 to tiny bit of hail pierced the dish and then it died). Never had hail in the 18 odd years I owned the property until I put in solar panels – now seems to be a magnet for hail in storm season.
My ride on mower is being repaired too the spindle mount busted 3 of the 4 mounting bolts so ordered a ebay special so far so good the spindle fits at least and the blades too!
It’s always good to take some time for those around you, the farm is looking good!
Happy new year guys. Hopefully all your bad luck has passed and the year will be smooth sailing.
Thanks for another great video.
You can of course vinegar soak rust off anything. Mint/Berry leaves, great teas. Love hearing from you, so happy to see your smiles, the both of you!
Much love and blessings from your friend in babylon USA.
