Thanks Rob, This is my 3rd year of growing Rainbow Trout. This year (after debacle last year) is going well. I start out in late September with 100 Rainbow Trout fry. That’s the MOQ for these at the Flyfishers hatchery here in SA. The starting average length of fry is about 2.5cm. After 5 weeks they are about 5cm. Largest about 7. I have Snow Peas and Cos Lettuce growing well. Harvested my first of the Cos today. I also planted a few Cherry Tomatoes but they aren’t progressing yet. The biggest challenge with Rainbows is Summer water temperature. I have a chest freezer as well as a large fan that helps. But still have to add bags of ice a couple times through the hot time of year. I use a spreadsheet to assist with feed amounts but I like the satiation method you suggested. One thing I have wondered is how much Nitrate should there be in the system. You showed a couple of stills of test results. My Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates remain at trace levels. Is there a minimum and maximum for these levels?
